Our approach is simple: low overhead, small teams, and rapid iteration.\nAs a Senior Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst, you will use your expertise in data analysis, financial transactions, and web traffic analysis to identify and investigate potential fraudulent activities within our hCaptcha SaaS security platform.\nYour primary responsibilities will include conducting advanced investigations into complex fraud patterns, developing actionable insights to enhance our fraud detection capabilities, and collaborating with machine learning teams to continuously improve our AI/ML detection and response systems.\nUsing AI: Coding agents are indisputably useful tools. We provide access to the top 3 models, and were early adopters of evals-first development flows. Familiarity with coding using agents is part of all interviews. However, reliability and correctness are critical for us. You will need to read and understand every line of code with your name on it, and it will be reviewed by both people and machines.\nWhat will you do:\nMonitor, identify, and analyze events from diverse data sources, including financial transactions and web traffic, to detect and respond to fraudulent activities.\nConduct advanced investigations of suspected fraud, analyzing behavior patterns and anomalies to assess risk and determine appropriate actions.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Customer Support, to enhance fraud detection and prevention strategies.\nHelp build and align fraud detection automation, dashboards, and reports.\nContinuously audit and refine fraud detection measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.\nStay informed of emerging fraud trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to keep our fraud prevention strategies up-to-date.\nWhat we are looking for:\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in fraud detection, financial data analysis, risk management, or trust & safety.\nProficiency in SQL and ideally Python for data analysis and visualization.\nIn-depth understanding of fraud detection methodologies and the fraud landscape.\nAbility to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.\nExcellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills in English, able to work effectively across teams.\nFamiliarity with the analysis of web-based and API abuse.\nNice to Have:\nHands-on experience with web security and secure configuration practices.\nInterest in staying current with industry trends and fraud prevention technologies.\nFamiliarity with modern fraud machine learning practices.\nHolding a valid CFE, CFS, CFF, or CISA certification is a plus.\nWhat do we offer:\nFully remote position with flexible working hours.\nAn inspiring team of colleagues spread all over the world.\nPleasant, modern development and deployment workflows: ship early, ship often.\nHigh impact: lots of users, happy customers, high growth, and cutting-edge R&D.\nFlat organization, direct interaction with customer teams.\nWe celebrate equality of opportunity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
