We apply our research to systems that serve millions of people, with staff distributed around the world.\nAs a Security Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing tools and features within our security platform. You will be improving detection and prevention of malicious activity, with a focus on systems programming and compiler development. We practice DevSecOps, and you must be comfortable being part of the operations around your code including monitoring and fault handling, metrics, automating break-fix and production alarms.\nUsing AI: Coding agents are indisputably useful tools. We provide access to the top 3 models, and were early adopters of evals-first development flows. Familiarity with coding using agents is part of all interviews. However, reliability and correctness are critical for us. You will need to read and understand every line of code with your name on it, and it will be reviewed by both people and machines.\nWhat will you do:\nDevelop innovative solutions that deliver on expectations based on the requirements of customers and stakeholders.\nResearch and implement the latest research in areas around security, obfuscation, virtual machines and compilers.\nCollaborate with different departments to investigate areas of improvement that can be used by security and machine learning to advance our detection services.\nDeploy continuous updates based on monitoring and research to keep up with the ever changing landscape of fraud and automation.\nWrite clearly structured, maintainable, well documented, and tested code that delivers based on outlined goals. It should be high quality enough to be open-sourced.\nWhat we are looking for:\nHands-on experience in a similar role, or demonstrated expertise in systems programming and compiler development.\nDemonstrated understanding of HTTP Protocols and Web API, including knowledge of browser specifications and their capabilities.\nDemonstrated work in the form of projects, research or blog(s) related to compiler design and implementation.\nHands on experiencing implementing processes that use cryptography and other methods to obscure and secure data.\nExperience working with Javascript and browser automation tools and services.\nHigh conscientiousness. We run at true web scale, and your code may execute billions or trillions of times each month.
