Nearly 30 years later, that question still fuels everything we do at Intuitive. As a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive care, our technologies-like the da Vinci surgical system and Ion -have transformed how care is delivered for millions of patients worldwide.\nWe’re a team of engineers, clinicians, and innovators united by one purpose: to make surgery smarter, safer, and more human. Every day, our work helps care teams perform with greater precision and patients recover faster, improving outcomes around the world.\nThe problems we solve demand creativity, rigor, and collaboration. The work is challenging, but deeply meaningful-because every improvement we make has the potential to change a life.\nIf you’re ready to contribute to something bigger than yourself and help transform the future of healthcare, you’ll find your purpose here.\n Primary Function of Position\nThis position is based in India in Intuitive's Global Capability Center (GCC) and partners directly with the Sunnyvale, US-based PLM team.\nServes as functional and technical analyst for Medical Device Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business processes, covering Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.\n Dual mandate: (1) provide ongoing configuration, enhancement, troubleshooting, and production support for the current Agile PLM environment, and (2) contribute to the design, configuration, and development of the next-generation cloud PLM platform.\nThe successful candidate will demonstrate strong learning agility, adaptability, and a transformation mindset, with the ability to operate effectively across both legacy and emerging PLM technologies while supporting business continuity and modernization initiatives.\nResponsible for requirements, design, specifications, configuration, development, and integration of PLM and associated IT applications across both the legacy and future-state platforms.\nWorks with the broader IT PLM team to document requirements, create specifications, and develop configurations or customizations that implement compliant, best-practice solutions on the current and future platform.\nEssential Job Duties\nAgile PLM Support & Enhancement (current state)\nDirectly participate in the analysis, configuration, development, and implementation of Agile PLM business systems.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve Agile PLM system issues, including debugging system-level code of Agile SDK-based business applications.\nMaintain IT business system integrity: application notes, system upgrades, patches, changes, and user updates.\nDesign, develop, and support integrations between Agile PLM and other systems using Agile Content Server (ACS) and Web Services.\nTrain super users on new or modified system configurations as they affect business processes.\nPLM Modernization & Cloud Migration (future-state)\nSupport data migration, mapping, and validation activities as part of the transition from Agile PLM to Oracle Cloud PLM / Windchill (or comparable platform), including EBOM/MBOM, document, and change-record migration.\nParticipate in requirements analysis, solution design, and configuration of the target cloud PLM platform, working alongside Sunnyvale-based architects and business analysts.\nDesign, build, and support integrations between the new PLM platform and upstream/downstream systems (ERP, MES, QMS, LMS) using modern REST/SOAP APIs and integration middleware.\nContribute to cutover planning, parallel-run validation, and post go-live stabilization support.\nGeneral Analysis, Delivery & AI-Enabled Productivity\nLead major-to-medium projects with ownership and energy.\nConduct analysis of system and functional specifications and configuration, then develop appropriate documentation.\nWrite specification documents for development and other efforts; develop conversion and system implementation plans.\nApply AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate scripting, code review, and documentation authoring, with appropriate human review and validation.\nUse AI/automation techniques to support data migration quality checks (e.g., anomaly detection in legacy data extracts, automated reconciliation reporting) and to streamline repetitive configuration or testing tasks.\nExplore opportunities to apply intelligent document processing or workflow automation to PLM-adjacent business processes (e.g., change request triage, specification drafting support), in partnership with the broader IT team.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nIn-depth knowledge and 5+ years of hands-on experience with Agile PLM is required, including configuration, administration, customization, integration, and production support. Experience with Oracle Cloud PLM, PTC Windchill, Teamcenter, or other comparable PLM platforms is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage, particularly for supporting future-state PLM transformation initiatives.\nIn-depth knowledge and 5+ years of experience with Agile PLM or a similar PLM solution (e.g., Oracle Cloud PLM, PTC Windchill, Teamcenter), with a focus in one or more of the following areas:Product Portfolio Management (PPM)\nDocument Management and Change Control\nCAD integration, requirements & risk management\nBill of Materials - EBOM, MBOM, Routers\nQuality Management - NC, CAPA, Complaints, Audit\nERP, MES, LMS, QMS integrations\nReporting using PLM queries, or guiding a BI team to develop custom reports\n\nWorking knowledge of Document Control, Manufacturing, and Engineering processes within a medical device company, including familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 design-control and quality-system requirements.\nUnderstanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) / Computer Software Assurance (CSA) principles as applied to regulated PLM/quality systems.\nArchitecture / backend database experience in an Oracle or Linux environment.\nExperience with, or working knowledge of, a modern cloud PLM platform - Oracle Cloud PLM, PTC Windchill, or comparable - including cloud-based configuration, workflow design, and data model concepts.\nExperience with REST/SOAP APIs and modern integration patterns for connecting PLM to enterprise systems (ERP, MES, QMS, LMS).\nExposure to, or hands-on use of, AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT/Claude for documentation or test-case generation) in a professional software delivery context.\nExperience with, or interest in, data migration/ETL activities - data mapping, extraction, transformation, load, and validation - particularly in the context of legacy-to-cloud PLM migrations.\nStrong business and customer/client focus.\nExperience supporting and developing Agile ACS code, Agile API SDK-based customizations, and Process Extensions is a plus.\nExperience with Java-based web applications (Java/J2EE) is nice to have.\nExcel API experience with the ability to build reporting is nice to have.\nExperience developing specification documents from requirements for software development.\nRequired Education and Training\nMinimum Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nAbility to work on multiple projects/initiatives concurrently.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with the Sunnyvale-based team.\nExperience using a source control management tool is a plus (preferably GitHub).\nExperience with ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence is a plus.\nRelevant platform certification is a plus - e.g., Oracle Cloud PLM, PTC Windchill, or Agile PLM certification.\nPrior experience participating in a PLM platform migration or major upgrade (data migration, cutover, or parallel validation) is a strong plus.\nFamiliarity with prompt engineering or AI-tool evaluation for internal productivity use cases is a plus.\nAbility to thrive in ambiguous and evolving environments, balancing operational support responsibilities with participation in strategic transformation programs.\nDemonstrated curiosity and continuous learning mindset, with the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of new PLM platforms, AI-enabled tools, and emerging business processes.\n Intuitive is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
