In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, analyze, and test features that support our core GNC algorithms and orbital analysis for various spacecraft missions.\nIntuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.\nResponsibilities:\nTechnical Analysis & Support:\nAssist with analysis of spacecraft attitude control system performance\nSupport simulation and modeling of GNC algorithms\nAnalyze telemetry data from on-orbit spacecraft\nDesign & Development:\nSupport development of GNC flight software components\nAssist with MATLAB/Simulink model development and validation\nCreate technical documentation and analysis reports\nDevelop test scripts and automation tools\nTesting & Validation:\nSupport GNC hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing activities\nAssist with sensor modeling (gyroscopes, star trackers, magnetometers, etc.)\nAssist with actuator modeling (reaction wheels, CMGs, magnetic torque rods, thrusters)\nHelp prepare test procedures and data analysis scripts\nDocument test results and anomalies\nCollaboration & Learning:\nParticipate in design reviews and team meetings\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Flight Software, Systems Engineering, etc.)\nPresent findings to engineering teams\nLearn from senior engineers and develop professional skills\nMinimum Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. citizen\nBachelor's degree or higher for Aerospace (Space), Astronautics, Mechanical (Dynamics), Electrical (Controls), Physics (Astrodynamics, Orbits), Applied Math or related field\n2 years of related industry experience, or Master's degree\nAcademic background in GNC, controls, or orbital mechanics\nDemonstrated interest in spacecraft systems\nPreferred Qualifications:\nRelevant internship or research experience\nCoursework or projects involving GNC systems\nFamiliarity with C/C++/MATLAB/Simulink/Python\nTechnical Skills:\nKnowledge of or willingness to learn: C/C++/MATLAB/Simulink/Python/Julia\nFamiliarity with Git/Gitlab-Github, Linux/Windows, AWS Pipelines\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nIn support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.\n\n•The base pay for this position within California is: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00 annually.\n\nFor all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.\nWe offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
