This role can be based either in our Palo Alto, CA office, or remotely in the US. You will maintain and optimize critical enterprise applications including GitLab, Harbor, Grafana, and other platform services that support engineering teams across the organization.\nAs a member of our platform team, you'll manage application lifecycles, ensure compliance with CMMC Level 2 and ITAR requirements, implement multi-tenant governance, and maintain high availability of services that enable spacecraft development and mission operations. You will work closely with crossplane-managed infrastructure to understand how platform applications are provisioned and deployed.\nIntuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nMaintain and upgrade enterprise applications including GitLab Enterprise Edition, Harbor container registry, Grafana observability platform, ArgoCD, and other platform services deployed via Crossplane\nImplement and enforce application-level governance policies for multi-tenant environments (commercial and CMMC tenants)\nManage application configurations, user access, and integrations between platform services\nEnsure compliance with CMMC Level 2, ITAR, and NIST 800-171 requirements at the application layer\nMonitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for reliability and scalability\nCoordinate application upgrades and maintenance windows with minimal disruption to users\nManage application-level security including audit logging (7-year retention), vulnerability scanning, and tenant separation controls\nConfigure and maintain CI/CD integrations, authentication (OIDC/SAML), and observability dashboards\nCollaborate with Platform Engineers on Crossplane compositions for application infrastructure provisioning\nCreate and maintain runbooks, user documentation, and training materials for platform applications\nProvide direct support to engineering teams using platform applications\nMinimum Requirements\nMust be a US Citizen or permanent resident\nBachelor’s degree, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree\nMinimum of 2 years of IT System Administration\n2 years hands-on experience with GitLab administration including instance management, upgrades, CI/CD configuration, and GitLab Runner management\nExperience with Crossplane for platform engineering and infrastructure provisioning\nExperience with containerized applications on Kubernetes including Helm charts and kubectl usage\nExperience with container registries (Harbor, Artifactory) or observability platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)\nCOTS application deployment, maintenance, and configuration experience\nLinux system administration and scripting skills (Python, Bash)\nExperience implementing security and compliance controls in enterprise applications\nPreferred Qualifications\nGitLab Certified Associate or similar GitLab certification\nExperience managing multi-tenant GitLab instances with tenant separation requirements\nCMMC, FedRAMP, or similar compliance framework experience in aerospace, defense, or government environments\nExperience with Harbor container registry, ArgoCD, Grafana, Loki, Mimir, or Tempo\nExperience with Keycloak or similar IAM platforms including OIDC/SAML integrations with MS Entra ID\nExperience with security and policy tools such as Kyverno, Tetragon, or Cilium\nKubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)\nPostgreSQL and Redis administration for application backends\nExperience implementing data classification and audit logging for compliance\nExperience with security scanning tools (Trivy, Black Duck) and vulnerability management\nAWS Solutions Architect or other relevant cloud certifications\nExperience with hybrid large-scale infrastructure (multi-cloud and on-premises)\nExperience working in air-gapped or restricted network environments\nKnowledge of Atlassian products (jira, confluence)\n\nIn support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.
