In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software for spacecraft simulators that are used by internal and external customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in the space industry working on cutting-edge simulation technology.\nIntuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and implement models of spacecraft components and/or subsystems for all-software spacecraft simulators\nLearn and apply spacecraft hardware specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and technical documentation to develop accurate software models\nAdhere to current satellite and software industry best practices\nDeploy code through existing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines\nCollaborate with team members to find solutions to design and evaluate technical trade-offs\nCommunicate cross-functionally with software and systems engineers to ensure a coherent system design\nWrite and perform unit, integration, and system-level tests on software applications\nParticipate in customer-facing design reviews and other technical discussions\nMinimum Requirements\nMust be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident\nBS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering, or related disciplines, or degree received within 3 months of hire date \nProficiency with Linux or demonstrated ability to learn quickly\nFamiliarity with software compilers and other software development tools\nExperience (academic or professional) in the following:Developing software in C++ or Python\nDebugging and troubleshooting software systems\nSoftware development best practices\nVersion control systems (Git)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong applied mathematics skills, including numerical methods, linear algebra, differential equations, and/or computational physics\nExperience implementing mathematical algorithms in software (coursework projects, research, or professional work)\nAcademic projects involving simulation, modeling, or real-time systems\nRelevant internship or co-op experience in software development, aerospace, or simulation\nCoursework or project experience with object-oriented programming and software design patterns\nBasic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts\nExposure to Agile methodologies or modern software development practices\nFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nAbility to learn quickly and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment\nPassion to work on space applications\nInterest in spacecraft systems, operations, design, or testing\nStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\nWhat We Offer\nMentorship from experienced engineers in spacecraft simulation and systems engineering\nHands-on experience with real spacecraft hardware and flight software\nOpportunity to work on projects that directly support space missions\nProfessional development and growth opportunities in the aerospace industry\n\nIn support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.
