This role is based in Palo Alto, CA, Houston, TX, or also can be based remotely in the US.\nIn this role, you will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of our Flight Software (FSW) development programs. This role serves as the primary interface between the FSW engineering team and program management, ensuring seamless coordination and on-time delivery of critical spacecraft software systems.\nIntuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram Planning & Execution\nOwn and maintain the FSW development schedule, ensuring alignment with program milestones and spacecraft integration timelines\nDrive team execution according to established plans and sprint cycles as Scrum Master\nFacilitate agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to sprint commitments\nIdentify schedule risks and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies proactively\nData Management & Reporting\nMaintain comprehensive plan and progress data for the FSW team\nTrack and report on key performance metrics, milestones, and deliverables\nPrepare status reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders\nEnsure accurate documentation of program health, risks, and issues\nStakeholder Management & Communication\nServe as the primary interface for FSW with the Program Management Office (PMO) and external stakeholders\nTranslate technical complexities into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences\nCoordinate cross-functional dependencies with hardware, systems engineering, and integration teams\nFacilitate effective communication between engineering teams and program leadership\nProgram Coordination\nLead program reviews, status meetings, and risk assessments\nCoordinate resource allocation and identify staffing needs\nManage dependencies across multiple teams and programs\nDrive resolution of cross-functional issues and blockers\nMinimum Requirements\nMust be a US Citizen or permanent resident\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree\nMinimum of 15 years of experience in technical program management or software program management\nExperience managing complex software development programs\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies\nExperience with Jira\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in aerospace, embedded systems, or flight software development\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MBA\nMicrosoft Project\nPMP, CSM, or similar program management certification\nFamiliarity with spacecraft systems and integration processes\nExperience working with government customers or in regulated environments\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nDemonstrated ability to drive results in cross-functional environments\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nData-driven decision making and analytical thinking\nProactive problem-solving mindset\nLeadership without direct authority\nTechnical credibility with engineering teams\n\nIn support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.\n\n•The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.•The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.•The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.•The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $145,000.00 - $241,000.00 annually.•The base pay for this position within California is: $151,000.00 - $251,000.00 annually.\n\nFor all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.\nWe offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
