This\nposition will be required to write and execute test protocols for functional SW testing using da\nVinci hardware. The successful candidate must have relevant technical experience and be detail\noriented.\nEssential Job Duties\nProtocol Development and Execution\no Support the development of design requirements; participate in the\ncreation/review of formal design documentation\no Design, develop, and execute test protocols for verification and validation of field\nservice software\no Complete documentation for test protocols,\nresults, and reports\nSoftware Testing and Development\no Run software evaluation labs to assess software\nfeatures and diagnostic tools during the\ndevelopment phase\no Keep detailed notes of testing activity to document user experience and feature\nperformance\no Provide feedback to development teams to guide feature design\no Log issues found within the issue tracking system; work with software and cross-\nfunctional teams to debug\no Learn the elements of the SW build process to effectively execute, monitor, and\ntroubleshoot builds as necessary\no Ability to work with complex hardware systems and understand the\ncommunication between hardware and software\n Required Skills and Experience\nExperience testing embedded software at unit, integration or system level is required\nStrong Engineering/SQA/Software Test background\nInterested in working in a fast-paced environment providing solutions throughout the\nentire product lifecycle\nHands-on engineering experience with a proven ability to work well in a team\nenvironment\nAbility to communicate effectively (written and oral)\nA real excitement to learn and get to the bottom of tough technical problems\nExperience writing and understanding technical specifications\nStrong intuition for, and interest in, designing software for testability\nMust demonstrate proficiency in Windows O/S and in all Microsoft Office applications\nMust possess strong attention-to-detail, individual initiative, sense of ownership, and\norganizational skills\nMust be a self-starter and capable of working effectively with little supervision and be\ncapable of identifying and driving individual projects\nRequired Education and Training\nMinimum BS required (EE or CS preferred)\nMinimum 3 years of software testing experience\nWorking Conditions\nNone\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience with documentation control systems; prefer Agile/ACCS\nExperience with requirement management software; prefer Polarion ALM\nExperience debugging software and performing reviews of test automation and\napplication code\nExperience working in Linux operating system environment\n Due to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19.
