The person in this position will work closely with Electrical, Firmware, Software, and Mechanical Engineers and develop designs for upcoming production versions of Intuitive products.\nEssential Job Duties\nCollaborate in a cross-functional team to develop requirements and specifications for new designs.\nImplement detailed designs in schematic form and see design through layout.\nCollaborate with Firmware and Software engineering to bring-up designs and test functionality.\nSolicit feedback and implement iterative improvements on designs based on DFM/DFA/DFT, serviceability, reliability, longevity, and performance.\nDevelop and execute test protocols and verify designs meet requirements and specifications.\nCollaborate with NPI and other engineering functions to transition designs into production.\nContribute towards system level design decisions.\nAct as a technical lead within the group and mentor more junior members.\n Required Skills and Experience\nAt least 12 years of board design experience (or 10 years with Master’s and 7 years with PhD), taking designs from concept all the way to production.\nMixed signal board level PCA/PCB design.\nExperience implementing mechatronics circuits or other motor control.\nFamiliarity with designing point of load power regulation and switched mode power supplies alongside sensitive analog circuits.\nAbility to lead departmental and cross-functional projects and teams.\nProven debug skills.\nDesign for electromagnetic compliance (EMC).\nTransmission line theory and signal integrity.\nFamiliarity with cables, connectors, PCB materials, and mechanical assemblies.\nDemonstrated record of effectively taking the lead in communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders on technical decisions and project goals/timelines.\nStrong communication skills.\nFluent in OrCAD and Allegro schematic and layout software (or equivalent).\nExperience with scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python, etc.) or embedded C.\nSome experience with Verilog and FPGA design flows.\n Due to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19.
