This position assists with product costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing variance analysis, month-end close, and cost reporting in accordance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and established procedures.\nThe role works closely with Cost Accounting, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maintain accurate cost information and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nSupport day-to-day activities related to standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis.\nAssist with the month-end close process for inventory, manufacturing expenses, cost of goods sold, and production variances.\nPrepare recurring cost reports and supporting schedules on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.\nAnalyze actual manufacturing costs and variances against budget, forecast, and standard cost.\nAssist with researching and explaining purchase price, labor, overhead, material usage, and other manufacturing variances.\nSupport the annual standard cost roll-up process by gathering data, validating inputs, and completing assigned costing activities according to the established calendar.\nAssist with the review and maintenance of direct labor and manufacturing overhead rates.\nReview bills of materials, routings, labor standards, overhead rates, and other master data that affect product costs.\nHelp maintain accurate standard costs for purchased and manufactured materials.\nSupport inventory valuation, standard cost revaluation, and related account reconciliations.\nPrepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation for cost accounting and inventory-related general ledger accounts.\nMonitor cost and inventory reports to identify unusual balances, transactions, or trends requiring additional review.\nSupport internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to assigned questions.\nMaintain cost accounting documentation, standard operating procedures, desktop procedures, and work instructions.\nPerform cost trends, product-cost analysis, and other ad hoc financial analysis as requested.\nCollaborate with FP&A and Accounting to support timely and accurate financial reporting.\nWork cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and Finance to resolve cost-related issues and improve data accuracy.\nParticipate in system implementations, process-improvement initiatives, user acceptance testing, and financial-data validation.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate recurring cost accounting activities.\nFollow corporate accounting policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, and applicable company procedures.\nDemonstrate the company’s mission, values, and expected professional behaviors in daily responsibilities and cross-functional interactions.\n Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\nZero to two years of experience in accounting, finance, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or a related internship or professional assignment.\nFoundational understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.\nBasic understanding of inventory accounting, manufacturing costs, or standard costing concepts.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, data organization, and basic financial analysis.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.\nAbility to organize assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple recurring activities.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\n Intuitive es un empleador que brinda igualdad de oportunidades de empleo.
