In this key role, you will be the driving force behind Lean tool\nimplementation and continuous improvement projects site-wide. Your combination of training,\nmotivational skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and passion for Lean manufacturing will be\njust the right fit for the manufacturing environment of precision instruments for minimally invasive\nrobotic surgery.\nEssential Job Duties\nManufacturing responsibility for tooling/fixtures, manufacturing equipment, and\ndesign improvements production.\nEvaluate and challenge mechanism designs for\nreliability, functionality, and manufacturability.\nProvide suggested change proposals.\nWork in a close collaboration with multiple\ndepartments and inter sites across all the company.\nSeeking better and more suitable technologies for\nimproving production processes.\nPerform IQOQPQ related to their design, redesign or\nintegration of new equipment being installed in the facilities.\nEvaluate and challenge mechanism designs for reliability, functionality, and\nmanufacturability. Provide suggested change proposals.\nApprove design releases to manufacturing, review engineering documentation,\nand provide vendor and in-house DFM inputs.\nReview/approve and determine the impact of ECOs from manufacturing and field\nperspectives.\nTake responsibility for developing and maintaining compliance with the quality\nsystem.\nEvaluate and help in the selection of suppliers for mechanical parts if required.\nHelp resolve supplier quality issues.\nUpdate and revise Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) to ensure accuracy\nand completeness.\nAddress line support issues as they arise.\nDocument and report any variances, problems, issues, or concerns on all aspects of\nthe manufacturing process.\nProvide production personnel with expectations and performance feedback\nregularly in the production process.\nDrive improvements in safety, quality, production, and cost.\nUnderstand, train personnel, and enforce strict adherence to the applicable\nDepartment Operating Procedures (DOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures\n(SOPs) of the Quality System.\nMaintain up-to-date and accessible training records for MPIs and Quality System\ndocuments.\nAssist in setting and attaining quarterly and annual production goals.\nLearn and enforce company safety policies and practices.\nReview and disposition of discrepant material in the manufacturing line.\nImplement corrective actions to prevent recurrences.\nActive participant in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback to find\nthe root cause and problem-solving.\nDesign and documentation responsibilities for custom and standard production\ntooling/fixtures.\nProcess and part design/documentation duties for cost reduction programs.\n Required Skills and Experience\nMinimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or\nequipment role.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEnglish 80% read, written, and spoken.\nManufacturing process experience includes equipment\nexperience, support and troubleshooting.\nGood communication skills, both written and verbal.
