This also requires system technical depth, experience, and independent decision making, and demonstrates competency to perform the duties of a Senior Engineering technician. Ability to coordinate system repairs with other engineering disciplines to limit down time.\nCandidates must be highly motivated with a strong sense of shared responsibility and shared reward is required as well as a commitment to high product quality.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nCoordinate activities with engineers and line supervisors to make sure that each system is in good working order.\nPerform quick triage of the issue and recommend best course of action to limit downtime.\nPerform simple reworks on the spot (cable crimping, solder components, tap threads, clean optics, adjust alignments etc.).\nDocument all activities in support for our formal records.\nOrder parts and assemble/bring up duplicate fixtures for production.\nAssist or execute engineering level tests and collect data to support design of experiment activities or characterize an assembly.\nAssist with parts order, build, and modification of development fixtures for evaluation.\nGenerate or assist on the implementation of Engineering Change orders.\nFollows all corporate, safety, SOP, DOP procedures and regulations.\nUnderstands problems, areas of risk, and areas for improvement within work unit, including the processes and procedures.\nPerform other engineering technician duties as needed.\n Skill/Job Requirements: \nSignificant experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, fab drawings, mechanical drawings.\nAbility to perform complex technical issues on various electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies.\nWorking knowledge of computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications for documentation and data presentation.\nAbility to read, modify, and execute test scripts use for debug\nAbility to learn quickly and adapt to variety of technologies that allow effective troubleshooting. Examples: Digital and Analog Electronics components, optical components, servo components, machined parts, sheet metal parts, cable assemblies.\nGood communication skills, verbal and written, to be able to partner effectively with production techs, supervisors, training department as well as Manufacturing/Design/Test Engineers.\nProven ability to work well in team environment\nExperience with JIRA, Agile, and SAP or equivalent tools\nEffectively use of troubleshooting and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, custom test platforms.\nDocument findings of investigation in quality notifications which are part of official Device History Records.\nElectronic and Mechanical assembly skills (Examples: soldering, crimping, box build, fiber handling, optical component handling, cable routing, and use of RTV/epoxy).\nEducation/Experience: \nAS degree, trade school, military technical training. B.S.
