We actively invest in our team members to support their long-term growth so they can continue to advance our mission and achieve their highest potential.\n Primary Function of Position\nThe Sourcing Director, APAC will define and lead the regional sourcing strategy for Intuitive Surgical, ensuring alignment with global sourcing objectives while driving innovation, cost optimization, and operational excellence across APAC. This role will oversee strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect categories such as construction, facilities management, professional services, and logistics, delivering measurable value and mitigating risk. The Director will partner\nwith senior business leaders to influence decisions that shape Intuitive’s growth in the region.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Sourcing Leadership\nDevelop and execute a regional sourcing vision and roadmap aligned with global sourcing strategy.\nLead complex, high-value sourcing projects across APAC, ensuring competitive advantage and compliance.\nDrive innovation and supplier collaboration to support business growth and operational excellence\nStakeholder Engagement\nAct as a trusted advisor to APAC leadership, influencing strategic decisions on sourcing priorities.\nPartner with global sourcing teams to ensure consistency and alignment with global category strategies.\nBuild strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Facilities.\nSupplier Strategy & Performance\nEstablish and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to enable innovation and resilience.\nOversee supplier performance governance, risk management, and compliance across APAC.\nAnticipate market trends and proactively adjust sourcing strategies to maintain cost efficiency and mitigate risks.\nFinancial & Operational Impact\nDeliver measurable cost savings, risk reduction, and operational improvements through strategic sourcing.\nProvide executive-level reporting on sourcing performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives.\n Required Skills & Experience\n15+ years of experience, with at least 10 years in sourcing leadership roles.\nProven track record of leading regional or global sourcing strategies in complex, multi- country environments.\nExceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level.\nStrong change management experience, driving sourcing transformation across diverse cultures and geographies.\nExpertise in strategic negotiations, contract governance, and supplier relationship management.\nAbility to shape sourcing strategy, not just execute projects.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.\nLanguage\nFluent in English; proficiency in an Asian language is a plus.\n Intuitive is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
