This includes coaching, encouraging and empowering the team as well as working side-by-side with them in a cold chain environment. Key team tasks and metrics include receiving, put away, picking, material supply and inventory accuracy. This position is responsible for oversight of personnel, administration of the raw material and sub-assembly warehouse operations, 5S + safety, inventory accuracy, and internal material replenishment processes. There is a strong focus on continuous improvement in the role.\nEssential Job Duties\nHire, train, develop, and motivate warehouse personnel to follow procedures, meet high level quality standards, production schedules, operations dept goals, and productivity requirements.\nMake sure current processes are properly documented and drive process improvement and simplification.\nEnsure freezers, dry goods warehouse, and work area are maintained to 5S standards and FIFO is adhered to with all material movements.\nContinuously perform gap analysis on documents related to warehouse operations such as SOP, DOP, WI, VA, and update as required\nWork with Inventory Control to analyze and correct issues related to storage quantities and inventory discrepancies.\nProvide vision and direction to team and drive training to Lean Material flow practices.\nEnsure that optimal inventory levels of commodities are maintained to meet production requirements.\nEnsure that company procedures, including APHIS requirements, are understood and adhered to.\nResponsible for managing employee training record completion and status.\nEvaluate and provide annual performance feedback to direct reports along with interim counseling to ensure performance criteria are being met.\nImplement Short-Term Problem Containment and Long-Term Corrective Action for warehouse issues.\nDrive continuous improvement of current systems and processes and work closely with production planning and management to optimize the value stream opportunities.\n Required Skills and Experience\nMinimum AA, BS degree or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of three years of experience in managing warehouse activities and material flow in a manufacturing environment.\nSignificant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, preferably SAP and Agile.\nProven track record of being an effective people leader and leading/growing highly functional teams.\nDemonstrated knowledge of Kanban systems and other Lean material flow practices.\nAbility to provide positive direction by encouraging peers to have a commitment to high standards of quality and performance.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nEffectively manages task breakdown, helps keep individual contributors on task, player-coach, ability to step in and perform hard tasks.\nKnowledge of inventory control systems, processes, and root cause analysis.\nExpert knowledge of safety requirements and material handling equipment operation.\nWorking Conditions\nAbility to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nBachelor’s degree\n5+ years of supervisory experience\nExperience supervising teams of technician/material handler level employees\nExperience in the medical device industry (or other regulated industry) is preferred\nManufacturing Experience: 7+ years\nLSS Green or Black Belt preferred\nThe ideal candidate will have a love for a fast-paced and multi-focused work environment\nGo get it, can do attitude\n Due to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19.
