This role suits a mature, experienced engineer who is comfortable working with an existing codebase and working directly with business stakeholders.\nAbout the Project:\nThe client runs a set of line-of-business applications built on SharePoint Server (2019 / Subscription Edition), with custom SPFx components and .NET Web APIs behind them. The applications were built by a third-party vendor, and the new team will take over the codebase from them. There is a knowledge transfer period in November 2026, overlapping the current contractor's last sprints. You will join a Scrum team that works in Azure DevOps, alongside business owners, analysts and testers. The assignment is long term.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain SharePoint on-premises solutions using SPFx, React, TypeScript and PnPjs;\n\nBuild and maintain custom Web APIs in .NET/C# hosted on IIS, with SQL Server;\n\nTake over an existing third-party codebase through code review, refactoring, technical debt management and regression testing;\n\nIntegrate applications with identity and external systems (EU Login, SAML, Entra ID, REST APIs, notifications, document management);\n\nOptimize the performance, security and quality of list-based SharePoint solutions;\n\nTranslate requirements into technical design, using UML where needed;\n\nEstimate effort, take part in backlog refinement and acceptance with business owners, analysts and testers;\n\nGuide technical work within the team, including code reviews and development standards;\n\nProduce technical documentation and manage configuration and releases;\n\nAct as 2nd and 3rd line support.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree (or 3 years of higher education);\n\nMinimum 6 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years as a Software Developer;\n\nProven experience developing enterprise applications on SharePoint on-premises (2019 / Subscription Edition) with SPFx, React/TypeScript and PnPjs;\n\nStrong experience with .NET/C# Web APIs, IIS and SQL Server;\n\nExperience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos with pull request workflow, Pipelines);\n\nExperience integrating applications with identity providers and external systems (SAML, Entra ID, REST APIs);\n\nKnowledge of UML and experience designing data, business logic and UI layers;\n\nAt least one full solution lifecycle completed in a Scrum environment;\n\nAbility to lead technical work within a team;\n\nAn advanced level certificate in software development (or an internationally recognised equivalent);\n\nExperience with EU institutions or the public sector is a plus;\n\nAvailability to start in mid-November 2026;\n\nVery good English (minimum B2);\n\nEU citizenship and own business activity (B2B).\n\nRecruitment Process:\nInitial interview with our
