This position will remain open for application based on business need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window.\nJob Description\nSummary\nAs a EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for sites ensuring compliance with EHS policies, programs, and procedures. You will communicate and contribute to the development of EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will conduct annual EHS audits and inspections and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of Invenergy’s safety performance and culture.\nYou will ensure site management delivers safe working procedures and practices to all site personnel so that they can fulfill their responsibilities. You will manage required compliance activities, including the implementation of the Invenergy EHS requirements.\nResponsibilities\nAssess risks and identify hazards in the workplace and at job sites to create a safe and healthy environment\n\nFacilitate the implementation of Invenergy standards and procedures at sites\n\nManage required compliance activities, including the implementation of Invenergy EHS programs\n\nInitiate investigations for incidents or near miss events as necessary or required including compilation and completion of forms for entry in the EHS management system\n\nConduct appropriate inspections and audits and ensure corrective actions are monitored and documented\n\nComplete, document, and submit all required EHS reports and recordkeeping information\n\nDeliver training on EHS policies and programs as needed\n\nEnsure the 3E system of SDS management is properly utilized\n\nCommunicate regular updates regarding injury and illness awareness and mitigating measures. Follow up with the Site Managers as necessary\n\nEstablish good rapport with personnel through periodic site visits and attendance of recurring regional conference calls\n\nManage documentation related to EHS initiatives and ad hoc programs such as safety stand downs, Safety Alerts and Bulletins\n\nPerform other EHS related duties as assigned\n\nRequirements\nAbility and willingness to travel regionally and at times, with minimal advance notice, up to 50% travel\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n\nMinimum of 2 years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience\n\n2+ years of work experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work\n\nMust be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and potentially during night\n\nMust be able to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds\n\nValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record\n\nEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nPreferred Requirements\nKnowledge of OSHA workplace standards, industry best practices and other guidance referenced during PV/BESS workplace operations (ANSI, NFPA 70e)\n\nKnowledge of federal, state, and local environmental guidance, standards, and best practices\n\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various departments within Invenergy\n\nTechnical & practical EHS knowledge, on various topics such as hoisting & rigging, fall protection, excavation and trenching, electrical safety, confined space, incident investigation, PPE and EPPE\n\nKnowledge of PV/BESS systems; including DC systems and AC medium voltage systems\n\nKnowledge of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, I-V Curve Tracing, Meggers, and Ground Fault Detection\n\nKnowledge of TMEIC/SMA/GE/Power Electronics inverters, single axis/PVH/NEXTracker trackers, Longi/Risen/Talesun modules\n\nKnowledge of utility scale PV/BESS substation operations\n\nHave good written, oral and computer communication skills to effectively deliver EHS-related information to employees and contractors\n\nAbility to prepare accurate reports containing findings and recommendations\n\nAbility to perform time critical tasks and a wide variety of duties, maintain responsibilities and oversight of multiple programs as needed\n\nProficient in the use of Microsoft office applications and other Internet-based reporting tools\n\nExperience and knowledge of the risks involved in the maintenance of equipment in the renewable energy generation industry\n\nAssociates Degree preferred\n\nThis is a safety sensitive position. Individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.\nBase Pay\n$72,000.00 - $93,000.00 USD Annual\nBonus: 0% - 15%\nThe base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
