This position will remain open for application based on business need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window.\nJob Description\nAbout the Site\nThe Spindle Hill Energy Center is a 314 MW simple cycle power plant using GE’s 7FA gas turbine platform.\nPosition Overview:\nThe I&C Technician will be a Team player performing operations, maintenance, and craft technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective, and environmentally acceptable operation and maintenance of all equipment. As the Instrumentation & Controls Technician, you will ensure that the control systems are working properly at the Spindle Hill Energy Center.\nResponsibilities\nThe I&C Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance, and technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the site\n\nTroubleshooting/maintaining DCS (distributed control system)\n\nPerform industrial electrical troubleshooting and maintenance\n\nMaintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and/or control systems in a power generation facility\n\nWork within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures\n\nAcquire and maintain plant operations certification in all areas to effectively operate a combined cycle power station\n\nThe Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime\n\nMust be able to read and understand schematic blueprints and technical documents\n\nUses computerized maintenance management system to initiate work requests for material deficiencies noted during shift operations\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned\n\nRequired Skills:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n\nValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record\n\nComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office software\n\nCandidates must be willing and capable of becoming multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment.\n\nEach employee will perform both operations and maintenance.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nGE MKVI and GE 7FA Turbine experience is a plus\n\nExpansive I&C or I&E knowledge is a plus\n\nMinimum two years of related instrumentation and controls experience (I&C) in a power generation facility or minimum two years of directly related instrumentation and controls experience (I&C) maintaining large industrial equipment\n\nIndividuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.\nBase Pay\n$40.29 - $61.79 USD Hourly\nBonus: 0% - 10%\nThe base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
