This person will lead the successful execution of a variety of projects from start to finish.\nLow Voltage Project Manager\nJob Type: Full-Time Department: Low Voltage / Systems Integration Reports To: Operations Manager / Director of Operations\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced and highly organized Low Voltage Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage installation projects from award through closeout. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems with proven project management, budgeting, and vendor coordination skills. This role is responsible for keeping projects on schedule and on budget while managing subcontractors, field crews, and client relationships.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Planning & Organization\nDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, scopes of work, and milestone timelines for multiple concurrent projects\nReview contract documents, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate project plans and material take-offs\nMaintain organized project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, and as-built drawings\nCoordinate pre-construction meetings and site walk-throughs with clients, general contractors, and internal teams\nBudget & Financial Management\nDevelop and manage project budgets, tracking labor, material, and subcontractor costs against projections\nReview and approve purchase orders, material procurement, and equipment rentals\nPrepare and submit accurate job costing reports, forecasts, and profitability analyses\nProcess change orders and ensure proper documentation and billing for scope changes\nMonitor project billing, invoicing, and collections in coordination with accounting\nSubcontractor & Crew Management\nSolicit bids from and negotiate contracts with low voltage subcontractors and vendors\nDispatch and schedule subcontractors and in-house technicians to meet project timelines\nConduct regular site visits to monitor workmanship, safety compliance, and progress\nResolve field issues, coordinate trade conflicts, and ensure quality control across all crews\nHold subcontractors accountable to contract terms, schedules, and quality standards\nTechnical Oversight\nProvide technical guidance and quality oversight across low voltage disciplines, including but not limited to:Structured Cabling / Voice & Data\nCCTV and Video Surveillance Systems\nAccess Control Systems\nVoIP Systems and Infrastructure\nPOTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) Telephony\n\nTroubleshoot technical issues and support field teams with system design or installation questions\nEnsure all installations meet applicable codes (NEC, BICSI, local AHJ requirements) and manufacturer specifications\nCoordinate system testing, commissioning, and turnover to clients\nClient & Stakeholder Communication\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and architects throughout the project lifecycle\nProvide regular project status updates, addressing concerns proactively\nManage client expectations regarding scope, schedule, and budget\nLead project closeout, including punch lists, final documentation, and client sign-off\nQualifications\nRequired:\nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience in low voltage wiring and systems installation, including but not limited to: Voice/Data cabling, CCTV, Access Control, VoIP, and POTS Telephony\nDemonstrated experience managing project budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting\nProven experience coordinating and dispatching subcontractors and field crews\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nWorking knowledge of low voltage codes, standards, and best practices (NEC, BICSI, local codes)\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project\nProficiency with RingCentral\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record\nPreferred:\nIndustry certifications such as BICSI Installer, Low Voltage License, or manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Axis, Lenel, HID, Avigilon)\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience with construction estimating and bid preparation\nPhysical Requirements\nSome travel required to active job sites, including construction environments\nAbility to climb ladders, access crawl spaces, and work in various field conditions as needed\nAbility to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally\nHourly Rate: $21.50/hr -
