The vision is to utilize technologies such as MuleSoft, AWS, Snowflake and Alfresco to deliver the data and content required to the Vermilion Reporting Suite. The squads are determined to work in a Scaled Agile methodology to consistently deliver value to the firm. As a team we respect and trust each other and celebrate our successes AND failures while continually looking for ways to improve.\nYou will be Responsible for\nWork closely with clients to understand business requirements and to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes. \nSolve complex problems with technological proposals.\nResearch and stay abreast of latest technology trends.\nDevelop project estimates and manage project work plans.\nAnswers team member questions, assists team members with issues, and oversees team member work for quality.\nLead a team of engineers including development, mentoring, and product delivery management\nLearn and adhere to department standards for design, development, and quality control.\nComplete major deliverables including technical design documentation and implementation of business requirements.\nPrepare for and support user acceptance testing.\nWork as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects / reviews.\nComplete all tasks related to technical analysis, proof of concepts, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.\nProvide post implementation support.\nCreate and maintain documentation for systems and processes.\nAssist with developing improvements to team processes and procedures.\nHandle deployments, define the best practices and coding guidelines for the team.\nStay abreast of new developments and functionality of content management industry trends and cloud platforms.\nThe Experience you bring\nExtreme Proficiency in developing and consuming REST APIs via MuleSoft\nExpertise in MuleSoft 4, API led connectivity, Microservices, Java\nExperience / understanding development process in the DevOps environment (including exposure to CI/CD tools such a Bamboo, source code management tools - Git, Bitbucket)\nUnderstanding of AWS specifically EKS and EC2 platforms\nA strong grasp of design patterns and software engineering concepts and best practices\n3+ years of experience in full stack object-oriented development languages such as Java\n3+ years of experience in SQL backed environment, Snowflake preferred\nExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to ask for help when needed.\nConsume libraries, tools, and APIs from other teams to achieve the desired functionality.\nTechnical team leadership experience.\nExperience in Scaled Agile framework is preferred.\nExposure and interest in full stack development in one of the following: Node.JS, Python or Java.\nA bachelor’s degree in IT related program is preferred and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.\nThe salary range for this position in Charlottetown is $50,000 - $65,000 per year.
