This role works closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and UX teams to validate functionality, performance, security, and overall user experience. The Advanced SQA Analyst brings strong technical expertise, mentoring capabilities, and deep knowledge of testing methodologies to drive continuous improvement in software quality and delivery processes.\nYou will be Responsible for\nDevelop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex features and systems.\nLead risk assessments to identify critical testing areas and define appropriate testing depth.\nParticipate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning to ensure testability and clarity.\nExecute functional, regression, integration, performance, and security tests.\nDesign and maintain automated test frameworks using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JMeter).\nDevelop automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services.\nEnsure CI/CD pipelines integrate automated test suites effectively.\nEstablish and improve quality standards, metrics, and best practices.\nPerform root-cause analysis for defects and collaborate with engineering to implement long-term fixes.\nDrive continuous improvement in development and testing processes using Agile, Scrum, or DevOps methodologies.\nPartners with developers to ensure early detection and resolution of issues.\nWork closely with product owners to validate acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality user experiences.\nMentor junior SQA analysts on testing best practices, tools, and automation techniques.\nCommunicate test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.\nThe Experiences you Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.\n5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering.\nDemonstrated experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.).\nExperience testing in Agile/Scrum environments.\nStrong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.\nExperience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.\nProficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST-Assured).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).\nSolid grasp of SQL, NoSQL, and data validation techniques.\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.\nISTQB (Foundation or Advanced Level)\nCertified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)\nAgile or Scrum certification\nDevOps or Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)\nThe salary range for this position in Charlottetown is $70,000 - $80,000 year.
