This role defines the reference architectures, integration standards, and governance patterns for low-code AI agents that connect Microsoft 365 and core enterprise systems. The Architect partners with business and technology stakeholders to translate priority use cases into secure, scalable, production-grade copilot experiences aligned with Invesco’s AI strategy, risk posture, and regulatory obligations. The role requires deep hands-on expertise across the Microsoft AI stack, a pragmatic delivery mindset, and the ability to translate emerging agentic capabilities into measurable business value.\nYou Will Be Responsible For:\nSolution Architecture & Design\nDefine and own the target architecture for CoPilot Studio agents at Invesco, including topic design, generative orchestration, knowledge sources, plugins, connectors, and handoff patterns to Microsoft 365 Copilot.\n\nEstablish reference patterns for integrating CoPilot Studio with existing Invesco applications, infrastructure (including Cloud across Azure & AWS), and SaaS platforms.\n\nLead architectural reviews, design-authority sign-off, and technical due diligence for new copilot use cases across the enterprise.\n\nDelivery & Engineering Leadership\nPartner with product owners, business analysts, and makers to translate business needs into agent designs, conversation flows, and grounded knowledge strategies.\n\nOversee the hands-on build of priority copilots - authoring topics, prompts, plugins, and custom connectors - and coach engineering teams on best practice.\n\nDrive Application Lifecycle Management, source control, environment strategy, and CI/CD for CoPilot Studio solutions using Power Platform Pipelines and Azure DevOps / GitHub.\n\nGovernance, Security & Responsible AI\nDefine and enforce guardrails for CoPilot Studio - Data Loss Prevention policies, environment strategy, authentication (Entra ID, SSO, On-Behalf-Of flows), data residency, and content moderation.\n\nEmbed Responsible AI principles - grounding, citations, evaluation, red-teaming, and human-in-the-loop - into every solution delivered.\n\nEnsure all copilots meet Invesco’s information security, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements.\n\nBusiness Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement\nAct as the trusted technical advisor to business sponsors, evangelizing both the capabilities and the realistic limits of CoPilot Studio and agentic AI.\n\nBuild and run a CoPilot Studio centralized practice covering standards, templates, maker enablement, and a value-tracking framework.\n\nOperational Excellence\nEstablish observability, telemetry, conversation analytics, and quality metrics for production agents.\n\nContribute to the management of capacity, consumption, licensing (messages, AI Builder credits, premium connectors), and total cost of ownership across the CoPilot Studio estate.\n\nAlign CoPilot Studio delivery with Invesco’s modern delivery models and product-aligned engineering teams.\n\nThe experiences you Bring\nMinimum 8+ years in solution architecture or senior engineering roles, with at least 2+ years hands-on with Microsoft CoPilot Studio (and/or predecessor Power Virtual Agents) delivering production agents.\n\nDeep, demonstrable expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform - Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and AI Builder - together with Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility (declarative agents, API plugins, connectors, and the CoPilot Studio agent builder).\n\nStrong working knowledge of Azure AI services - Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search (vector and hybrid retrieval), Azure AI Foundry, Document Intelligence, and Content Safety.\n\nProven experience with conversational design, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation frameworks, and agent orchestration patterns, including multi-agent and Microsoft 365 Copilot handoff.\n\nSolid grounding in identity (Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, On-Behalf-Of flow), Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, and enterprise integration patterns (REST, Logic Apps, API Management).\n\nExperience operating within regulated environments - financial services preferred - including data classification, DLP, and audit controls.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead architectural governance forums and mentor multi-disciplinary teams of professional developers and citizen makers.\n\nExperience with Power Platform CLI, and Power Platform Pipelines for end-to-end ALM.\n\nRelevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. AB-100, PL-600, PL-400, AI-102) would be a distinct advantage.\n\nExperience integrating CoPilot Studio with line-of-business platforms in asset management, wealth, or capital markets would be a distinct advantage.\n\nArchitectural Thinking: Able to design coherent, scalable, and secure end-to-end solutions that span low-code, pro-code, AI, and enterprise integration layers.\n\nTechnical Excellence: Superior hands-on knowledge of CoPilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI; able to translate technical capabilities into clear business value.\n\nFull Time / Part Time\nFull timeWorker Type\nEmployeeJob Exempt (Yes / No)\nYesWorkplace Model\nPursuant to Invesco’s Workplace Policy, employees are expected to comply with the firm’s most current workplace model, which as of October 1, 2025, includes spending at least four full days each week working in an Invesco office.
