This role provides deep technical expertise, drives automation maturity, mentors junior analysts, and partners closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to uphold quality throughout the development lifecycle. The Senior SQA Analyst works proactively to identify risks, improve processes, and elevate overall product excellence.\nAbout the Team:\nYou’ll join a high-performing Quality Engineering team that plays a critical role in delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions within the Finance domain. The team partners closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and strong business outcomes.\nThis group is deeply technical and hands-on, working across large-scale data environments, modern databases, and cloud technologies. Team members lead complex testing strategies, drive automation maturity, and proactively identify risks to improve processes and overall product quality. There’s a strong focus on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement, with senior engineers guiding and elevating junior talent.\nResponsibilities of the Role:\nExpertise in Test Planning & Strategy, Tests Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management.\n\nStrong Experience on databases including Microsoft SQL, Snowflake, Postgres databases. Including the ability to create stored procedures, views or tables.\n\nExperience testing Master Data Management (MDM) Systems.\n\nExecute tests against large data sets.\n\nAbility to perform first level troubleshooting of defects for root cause analysis.\n\nFamiliar with Unix command line to access logs and file manipulation.\n\nFamiliar with AWS tools like S3 and Secrets Manger and AWS cost models\n\nMonitor application logs to determine system behavior. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessarily follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.\n\nPublish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detail status reports, and monitoring of all defects and issues.\n\nExposure of workflow tools like AutoSys, Airflow, Stonebranch UAC.\n\nGood knowledge on Python or similar programming language.\n\nIdentify defects unambiguously and track these defects through the test lifecycle to resolution with established Bug Life Cycle.\n\nUnderstand the data culture associated and the impact on the different UI applications and workflows along with backend data validations.\n\nCommunicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to Project managers during Project/Test Life Cycle (Well verse with Agile Methodology on projects execution)\n\nEnsure that testing activities meet the business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements with Quality.\n\nAble communicate with a group of team members and emphasize/Encourage the teamwork.\n\nTest Metrics (On daily basis)\n\nWork in shifts that will at least overlap with Eastern time zone up to 11 est with occasional need for off hours support to perform postproduction release checkout.\n\nSecondary Skill/ added advantage:\nTest automation for large data projects.\n\nKnowledge in Alteryx, Informatica or DBT is added an advantage.\n\nFamiliarity with Bit Bucket or other source control tools.\n\nRequirements of the Role:\n7-9 Years of Experience.\n\nSoftware quality assurance and or software testing\n\nExperience in Financial services/ Asset Management Industry is preferred\n\nOracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and EPM (Enterprise Performance Management)\n\nBachelor of Technology or MCA\n\nLicense/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)\nNone\n\nSkills / Other Personal Attributes Required:\nEnvision opportunities and risks - people and process - take a realistic approach that ensure desired results\n\nExcellent communication skills - willing to speak up and question decisions when they would introduce risk.\n\nEye for detail and accuracy\n\nLead and contribute to department wide initiatives/ Resolve conflicts\n\nFlexibility and adaptability\n\nAble to work independently and should work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\n\nSenior QE\nThe salary range for this position in Charlottetown is $100,000 - $110,000 year.
