And we’re just getting started.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a Middle Backend Engineer to join our Backoffice team. Backoffice is the technical foundation behind our growing business: the internal systems, workflows and integrations that Operations, Compliance and Business teams rely on every day. As the company scales, there are more processes to automate and more systems to strengthen than the current team can deliver.\nThis isn’t a role for fast ticket execution. You’ll own problems end-to-end: understand how a back office process actually works, find where it can be automated or made more reliable, design a sound solution, align with the teams who depend on it and drive it through to production.\nIt’s a hands-on engineering role with no people management.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and maintain backend services in Python 3.11 with Django / DRF\n\nAutomate back office processes and workflows, working directly with Product, Compliance and Business teams\n\nQuestion proposed solutions and help shape the right one before building it\n\nDesign and improve REST APIs for internal and external integrations\n\nWork with MySQL and Redis to improve performance, reliability and scalability\n\nInvestigate and resolve production issues, find bottlenecks and reduce technical debt\n\nContribute to architecture discussions and technical decisions in your area\n\nImprove our development processes and internal tooling\n\nKeep code quality, testing and engineering practices at a high standard\n\nWork with Git and CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions)\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3+ years of backend development experience\n\nStrong Python skills and good knowledge of Django or a similar framework\n\nSolid understanding of relational databases, caching, REST APIs and service design\n\nExperience troubleshooting production issues\n\nOwnership: you can take a task and see it through independently\n\nFamiliarity with Git, CI/CD practices and modern development workflows\n\nGood communication and problem-solving skills\n\nEnglish at B2 level or higher, and fluent Russian\n\nNice to Have\nExperience in fintech, regulated industries or internal B2B tools\n\nAWS and Docker\n\nMessage brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka\n\nOpen-source contributions or side projects\n\nNo prior fintech experience is required.\nHow We Work\nWe’re a lean, collaborative engineering team where developers have real influence on architecture, product direction and engineering culture.
