The team looks after around 100,000 SIPP accounts and thousands of pension transfers every month.\nYou’ll own our pensions web journeys end to end - from clarifying requirements with Product, Design and Backend to building, testing, releasing and checking how features behave in production. Your first big goal is the frontend scope of a pension administrator migration: new account-opening flows, updated legal documents and in-app changes for existing customers.\nThe team is backend-heavy, so you’ll be the frontend voice in technical decisions: shaping API contracts with backend engineers, setting how frontend work is reviewed and tested in Pensions, and later onboarding a second frontend engineer.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and maintain customer-facing pension journeys in React and TypeScript\n\nOwn features from refinement to production, shipping web in the same sprint as backend\n\nAgree API contracts, states and error handling with backend engineers and designers\n\nBuild complex, multi-step forms for account opening, transfers and declarations\n\nWrite unit and component tests, and release safely behind feature flags\n\nMonitor features in production and fix issues quickly\n\nWork in a large, long-lived codebase and follow our documented frontend architecture\n\nUse AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex) in daily work - and review what they produce\n\nSet frontend review and testing practices in the team, and onboard our next frontend engineer\n\nCollaborate with Product, Design, QA, Operations and the wider frontend group\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nCommercial experience with React and TypeScript as your main tools over the last 2+ years, in a large, long-lived codebase\n\nProduction experience with a state manager beyond component state (Effector, Redux or similar)\n\nSolid REST API integration skills, including loading and error states\n\nExperience working closely with backend engineers - discussing and shaping API contracts, not just consuming them\n\nExperience building complex or multi-step forms in production\n\nUnit or component testing as part of your daily work (Jest, React Testing Library or similar)\n\nGeneral understanding of web accessibility (semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, ARIA)\n\nExperience working within a documented frontend architecture\n\nStrong ownership: you clarify unclear requirements before you start and see features through to production\n\nClear communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders\n\nEnglish B2+ and fluent Russian\n\nNice to Have\nHands-on backend experience - commercial or personal projects\n\nExperience building a Backend for Frontend (BFF) layer\n\nExperience planning frontend architecture and breaking work down for other engineers\n\nExperience with Effector\n\nPlaywright or other end-to-end testing tools\n\nFeature flags and error monitoring (GrowthBook, Sentry or similar)\n\nReact Native experience\n\nExperience in fintech or another regulated industry - not required, we’ll get you up to speed\n\nHow We Work\nWe’re a lean, collaborative team where engineers have a real influence on product, architecture and engineering culture.\nWe value ownership, curiosity and continuous improvement.
