You will be responsible for planning, developing/implementing automation design, and creating and maintaining functional and regression automated test suites.\n\nThis candidate will possess the necessary skills and experience to understand the infrastructure and develop automation test scripts. This position will require the candidate to work with multiple global test engineers and developers, with different degrees of knowledge in automation, to establish deliverables with quality standards as well as meet timelines.\n\nResponsibilities: \nInteract with development engineers to devise automation strategies, test strategies and test cases to automate new features and enhance existing functionality.\nPerform code reviews for product and test code.\nA testing mindset is a key success factor with a bias for automating tests.\nDevelop tools to automate testing of Software.\nDevelopment of test plans and procedures.\nPerform software development and test automation experience in an SOA environment.\nWrite unit test code to automatically test the key parts of the system.\nWork closely with Developers & QA team members to review requirements, system designs and plan for both manual and automated testing.\nHelp investigate field issues and support production systems.\nBe resourceful, flexible, and an excellent collaborator supporting the Development team.\n\nRequirements: \n5 to 7 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in Software development using C++ and/or Java, JEE, REST Web Services, RDBMS / SQL.\nExtensive experience building test frameworks.\nFundamental Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD).\nAutomated Testing (GUI and back-end), User Acceptance Testing.\nExperience in writing unit tests using frameworks like Cxx & / or Junit.\nUNIX / LINUX system and writing scripts - in Bash, Perl & / or Python.\nExperience with code version systems like Git.\nDemonstrable years of experience in building and designing test tools and/or backend development tools.\nExperience running system, functional, end-to-end integration, and regression tests.\nExcellent leadership skills.\nBachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science or relevant STEM field.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nHighly Preferred: \nExperience working in an Agile environment using JIRA.\nExperience in the Telecom / Cable Media Industry.\nFamiliarity with virtualisation & cloud technologies -
