Everyone here is committed, and everyone knows their work directly contributes to something bigger.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for an Application Engineer to turn measurement data from our equipment into results our customers can rely on: data analysis, adapting our methods to new applications and customer-facing technical work amongst others.\nYou'll work with our customers and our algorithm and software teams. Using customer data, you'll run our analysis workflow from start to finish, judge whether the results make physical sense, and feed what you learn back into the development of new methods. When existing methods fall short, you'll prototype a solution yourself, often against a tight deadline. You'll also bring technical input to customer meetings and visit customer sites around once a quarter.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze measurement data to extract meaningful insights for our customers' applications\nRun our analysis workflow end to end, applying and adapting existing algorithm and software components to new customer applications\nUse HPC resources to process large datasets efficiently, and write code that runs well there when needed\nJudge whether results are physically sensible, and feed findings back to the algorithm and software teams to help guide new methods\nPrototype solutions quickly under tight deadlines when existing methods fall short\nContribute technical input to customer-facing application work, in and around customer meetings\nTravel internationally to customer sites on an occasional basis, roughly once a quarter\nIs this you?\nPhD (or Master's plus comparable experience) in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field\nExperience turning real, noisy data into reliable results, for example through physical modelling or computer vision, and the intuition to tell when a model matches reality\nCurrent, hands-on Python experience, writing code that also runs well on HPC resources through parallelization\nFluent in English and willing to travel internationally on an occasional basis\nActive use of AI tooling in your daily work (coding, data analysis, prototyping, documentation) to boost efficiency\nNice to have\nA background in semiconductor metrology, semiconductor processes or another measurement-heavy field (e.g. scientific instruments, medical imaging)\nExperience with machine learning, numerical methods or advanced data analysis\nWhat We Offer\nA role at the heart of Invisix's customer applications, with a direct influence on how our methods develop\nCompetitive salary and benefits, including an Employee Share Ownership Plan\nA learning and development budget to support your growth\nFlexible working arrangements, and room to grow into adjacent responsibilities as the team scales\nInterested?\nIf this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd like to hear from you, even if you only recognize yourself in part of this description.
