Everyone here is committed, and everyone knows their work directly contributes to something bigger.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a Geometry Modeling Engineer to define how our modeling tool describes 3D structures, and how it should develop: modeling requirements, computational geometry, parametrization and tool strategy amongst others.\nYou'll work between the application team, the algorithm team and the software engineers who build the tool. You translate use cases into requirements, decide how the tool and its geometry engine should be extended, and guide the implementation through specifications, reviews and acceptance. Defining use cases and building models for customers' applications sits with our application engineers, and implementing and maintaining the tool sits with our software engineers.\nKey Responsibilities\nTranslate the application team's use cases into modeling requirements: which structures, shape features and degrees of freedom the tool must support\n\nIdentify what the modeling tool cannot represent today and specify how to extend it, including changes to the underlying geometry engine where needed\n\nAdd geometric freedom where the current modeling approach is too rigid, for example rounded corners or freeform profiles, while keeping models valid for simulation and parameter estimation\n\nAssess whether extending the current tool remains the right path, or whether a new tool is the better investment, in terms of cost, effort and risk\n\nDefine with the algorithm team how geometry models are handed over to our simulation software, and how modeling choices affect the measurement results\n\nPrototype new modeling capabilities and guide the software engineers who implement them, through specifications, reviews and acceptance\n\nIs this you?\nMSc or PhD (or comparable experience) in physics, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience\n\nComputational geometry experience: working with or on a geometry engine, CAD kernel or geometry library, including making it reliable on difficult cases\n\nHands-on experience building 3D parametric models used in simulation, for example CAD modeling, process emulation or device modeling\n\nExperience preparing geometric models as input for physics solvers, for example FEM or TCAD\n\nPython skills for prototyping, and for working alongside the software team\n\nFluent English\n\nActive use of AI tooling in your daily work (prototyping, testing, documentation) to boost efficiency\n\nNice to have\nKnowledge of semiconductor processes and process flows\n\nExperience building 3D parametric models from cross-section or microscopy images\n\nExperience designing parametrizations for numerical optimization\n\nWhat We Offer\nA role at the heart of Invisix's modeling software, with real technical ownership from day one\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits, including an Employee Share Ownership Plan\n\nA learning and development budget to support your growth\n\nFlexible working arrangements, and room to grow into adjacent responsibilities as the team scales\n\nInterested?\nIf this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd like to hear from you, even if you only recognize yourself in part of this description.
