This is a hybrid role with 3-days per week required to be worked in the Baltimore, MD office.\nHours of work:Typical hours of work are from 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM local time Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This role requiresstrong communicationand problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts, navigate challenges, and develop effective solutions while working closely with clients and cross-functional teams.\nEssential Functions:\nClient Partnership: Serve asprimarytechnical point of contact for assigned clients, developing strong working relationships and building trust throughout the engagement. \nTechnical Consultation: Work directlywith clients to understand their technical needs, data requirements, workflows, and challenges, and translate those needs into practical technical solutions. \nClient Engagement:Build strong, trusted working relationships with client technical and non-technical stakeholders across the full client lifecycle, and clearly explain technical concepts, data processes, system functionality, and proposed solutions.\nProfessional Services: Work directly with clients to understand their data requirements, workflows, and challenges, and deliver practical technical solutions such as data migrations, integrations, and configuration.\nDatabase Design & Management: Develop andmaintaindatabases, data warehouses, and other data storage solutions, ensuring they meet the company and client’s data needs and business goals. \nData Pipeline andETL/ELT Processes:Design, build and deploy robustETL/ELTpipelines and staging transformations to migrate and synchronize datasets with targetschemas. \nDataQuality & Governance: Ensure high data quality and availability by implementingappropriate monitoring, testing, and validation techniques. \nCollaboration: Work closely with data integration engineers, business analysts, and software engineers to understand their data requirements and providetimelysolutions. \nData Security & Compliance: Ensure that all data solutionscomply withdata security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). \nPerformance Optimization: Continuouslymonitorthe performance of data systems and make improvements to increase efficiency and scalability. \nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ora relatedfield. \nProven experience (3+ years) as aData Engineer, or in a similar role. \nExternal client-facing experience. \nProficiencyin database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). \nStrong experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. \nFamiliarity with cloud data platforms (AWS) \nKnowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality best practices. \nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into data architecture solutions. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. \nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
