This role oversees triage, prioritization, scheduling, and communication of all infrastructure-related work, including patching, security updates, and larger platform initiatives routed into platform scrum teams. The Technical Operations Manager partners closely with Cloud Platform Engineers, InfoSec, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery, operational integrity, and compliance with change-management processes.\nAs part of an on-call rotation, you will serve as an escalation point for major incidents, lead post-mortems, and implement improvements that raise reliability toward a 99.99% uptime target.\nThis role reports directly to the Vice President of Platform Engineering and directly manages a team of Cloud Platform Engineers, with accountability for and improve overall platform efficiency.\nRequirements\nExperience & Education\nBachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related technical operational roles.\nDemonstrated experience managing technical work intake processes and backlogs using JIRA or similar tools.\nExperience coordinating maintenance windows, patch cycles, or operational readiness activities.\nStrong understanding of change-management frameworks and operational governance best practices.\nExcellent communication skills and experience engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders.\nStrong analytical capabilities for assessing technical risk, complexity, and business impact.\nCore Technical Expertise\nCloud & Kubernetes\nExpertise supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure, including AKS, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN/ExpressRoute, managed identities, and Azure Policy/RBAC.\nExpertise supporting and troubleshooting Kubernetes experience: cluster operations, scaling, upgrades, workload security, and troubleshooting.\nExpertise supporting and troubleshooting Cloudflare DNS, CDN, WAF, and Zero Trust configurations.\nInfrastructure as Code & Automation\nExperience with Terraform for modular, reusable cloud provisioning.\nExperience with Ansible for system configuration and application deployment.\nAutomation skills using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.\nApplications\nExperience supporting and troubleshooting Windows Server, IIS, and .NET Framework/Core application environments.\nExperience supporting and troubleshooting Ubuntu Server, Nginx, and Python Django applications, including containerization and integration with Azure services.\nExperience containerizing both .NET and Python/Django applications and operating them in AKS with proper health probes, scaling, and observability.\nNetwork Security & Access Control\nExperience designing and managing firewall rules, NSGs, ACLs, and network segmentation strategies in both cloud and on-prem environments.\nAbility to analyze traffic flows, identify misconfigurations, resolve blocked flows, and enforce least-privilege access patterns.\nExperience managing distributed firewall policies across Azure, Cloudflare, and virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox).\nCI/CD & Observability\nExperience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps for automated builds, tests, deployments, and environment promotions.\nStrong monitoring, logging, and performance troubleshooting skills using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and optionally Prometheus/Grafana/New Relic.\nSecurity & Compliance\nFamiliarity with PCI, SOC2, and SOX requirements and experience operating cloud environments in
