The Production supervisor reports to the Production Manager and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role, you will be responsible for:\nDirecting, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department/shift under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of product\nServing as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methods\nCommunicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicable\nInterpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties\nManage daily workflow and associated responsibilities\nUpdate the Operational Data Entry Network (ODEN) as needed throughout the shift\nReview and analyze data to make informed business decisions\nSupport Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Uptime Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nFoster and uphold corporate programs and directives\nPromote a strong safety culture\nMonitor, prioritize, and support customer demands\nEncourage the growth and career development of new hires\n To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:\nHave 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing\nHave a High School diploma or GED equivalent\nHave manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experience\nDemonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processes\nHave excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skills in order to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals\nDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills\nHave prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others\nPossess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPM\nIn addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:\nSAP Knowledge\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups\nProficiency in Spanish, sign language, or other language\nManufacturing Program Planning and Coordination \nUV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledge\nHave worked in a production or manufacturing environment\nExperience with Inventory Control\nExperience with Change Management\n We offer a competitive salary with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, pet insurance, HSA and FSA, 401(k), and more.
