This role is based in Johannesburg with a hybrid working model and will focus on managing and optimizing a complex SQL Server environment spanning both cloud and on-premise platforms.\nWhat you'll do:\nManage and support SQL Server environments across Azure and on-premise platforms.\nEnsure database availability, security, backup/recovery and disaster recovery capabilities.\nLead database performance tuning, troubleshooting and optimisation initiatives.\nSupport cloud migration, database modernisation and operational improvements.\nAct as a senior technical resource for database-related incidents and escalations.\nYour Expertise:\n7+ years' experience as a Database Administrator, including senior-level experience.\nStrong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, including installation, upgrades, HA/DR, security and database management.\nExtensive Microsoft Azure experience (Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, SQL Server on Azure VMs).
