In addition to the Lab49 project team, you will collaborate with client product and engineering stakeholders to guide the discovery and build phase of an exciting new initiative.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of DevOps workflows to support cloud-native applications and enterprise-grade infrastructure. \nAutomate development and operational workflows using tools like Terraform, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, etc. \nCollaborate with team leadership and cross-functional technologists to design and implement enterprise DevOps solutions that align with technical priorities. \nChampion the adoption of robust cloud architecture, DevOps best practices, and emerging cloud technologies. \nBreak down complex technical problems into effective, elegant solutions to drive client success. \nProvide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to development teams, fostering cloud competencies and a culture of continuous improvement. \nDrive teams to deliver outcomes by prioritizing work, managing dependencies, and ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the process. \nEffectively bring client stakeholders along in the journey, ensuring they are informed, engaged, and supportive of the technical direction. \nCommunicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment. \nDefine, document, and drive best practices for application deployment, infrastructure maintenance, and cloud service management. \nLead the evaluation and implementation of new cloud tools and technologies. \nRequired Skills and Experience:\n12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps engineering, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or senior engineering role.\nExpertise with infrastructure-as-code tooling, particularly Terraform, to build scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure. \nExtensive experience architecting, designing, and deploying cloud-native applications, with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS). \nIn-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and a deep understanding of container technologies like Docker (Kubernetes experience is a plus). \nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools. \nProven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams on architecture, features, and complex problem-solving. \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and interact effectively with clients and diverse technical teams. \nStrong grasp of software design patterns, development methodologies, and agile practices. \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. \nDesired Skills:\nExperience with CloudFormation, CDK, Helm, and other infrastructure automation tools. \nFamiliarity with migrating legacy applications to the cloud and modernizing existing systems. \nDeep understanding of cloud security concepts and tools, including AWS IAM, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, etc. \nExperience with cloud data services like AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, and other database technologies. \nProficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python, Go; Python preferred). \nExpertise with Serverless Architectures and AWS Lambda. \nHands-on exposure to AI infrastructure tooling such as AWS Bedrock, LLM gateways, token cost management, and AWS AgentCore.\nFamiliarity with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain.\nExperience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.\nAwareness of emerging concepts like context engineering and AI-driven SDLC.\"\nLab49 is a specialist strategy, design, and technology consulting company dedicated to the financial services industry.
