Gas brownfield development project in Angola, we are looking for an experienced EPC Contract Engineer - SURF to join one of our international partners.\nThe position is based in Paris, France, and involves managing high-value EPC contracts within a complex offshore environment.\n As an EPC Contract Engineer - SURF, you will be responsible for the contractual and commercial management of EPC contracts, particularly those related to Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF), throughout the tendering, execution and close-out phases.\nThe project involves a brownfield investment exceeding USD 2 billion, with individual contracts valued at over USD 500 million.\nReporting to the Contract Leader and Package Manager, your main responsibilities will include:\nManage EPC contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, from tender preparation and contract award to execution and close-out.\n Prepare and coordinate Calls for Tender (CFT), including tender documentation, technical specifications, contractual requirements and commercial evaluations.\nLead contractual clarification and negotiation processes, assess commercial proposals and prepare Recommendations to Award.\nAdminister high-value SURF EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project procedures and applicable regulations.\nManage change orders, variations, claims and counterclaims, ensuring contractual and commercial risks are identified and mitigated.\nMonitor contractor performance, contractual milestones, progress, payment certificates and invoices in coordination with Planning Engineers and Cost Controllers.\nSupport cost control activities, including contract expenditure monitoring, cost forecasting and budget revisions.\nParticipate in contractual negotiations and dispute resolution, working closely with legal, insurance, finance and technical teams.\nCoordinate with Package Managers, contractors and project stakeholders, ensuring effective contractual communication and reporting.\n Identify and mitigate contractual risks associated with package interfaces, offshore operations and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).\nEnsure accurate contractual records, documentation, correspondence and reporting throughout project execution.\nManage contract close-out activities, ensuring all contractual and commercial obligations are fulfilled.\nPromote compliance with HSE standards, ethical practices and contractual governance requirements.\n Education & Experience\nMinimum 10 years of professional experience, with significant exposure to EPC contract management.\nDegree in Engineering, Law or Management / Business Administration.\n Strong experience managing EPC contracts related to SURF packages (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines).\nProven involvement in both CFT / tendering and EPC execution phases.\nExperience managing international contracts involving major Oil & Gas contractors.\nPrevious experience in offshore brownfield projects is highly advantageous.\nExperience with Topsides and Subsea Production Systems (SPS) is considered an asset.\nPrevious involvement in multi-package, multi-block or multi-project contracts would be beneficial.\nTechnical Competencies\nExcellent knowledge of EPC contractual mechanisms, contract administration and commercial management.\nStrong negotiation skills, including contractual wording, claims management and change order procedures.\nGood understanding of SURF packages, offshore construction and Oil & Gas operations.\nKnowledge of contractual risk management, cost control and project budgeting.\nFamiliarity with legal, insurance and taxation aspects of international EPC contracts.\nUnderstanding of brownfield offshore environments and SIMOPS constraints.\nLanguages & Soft Skills\nFluent French and English are mandatory, both written and spoken.\nExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong analytical thinking and contractual problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.\nStrong sense of responsibility, confidentiality and commercial
