IBMC is assisting a premier beach club and lifestyle venue in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, world-class hospitality, and stunning coastal setting, our client offers an exceptional dining and lifestyle experience for local and international guests. We are seeking a sharp, highly organized, and fluent Operational Manager to serve as the key operational leader and "right hand" to company management on the floor.
The Operational Manager is responsible for orchestrating daily floor operations, ensuring flawless service execution, and driving a high-quality guest experience across all touchpoints. In this high-ownership role, you will lead the Front-of-House (FOH) team, coordinate seamless cross-departmental communication (Kitchen, Bar, Reception), enforce health/safety policies, and resolve real-time operational bottlenecks. You will act as the primary operational liaison for executive management, requiring complete fluency in English and a hands-on floor presence.
Working Location & Relocation Terms
- Location: On-site in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (Beach Club Venue).
- Relocation Policy: Open to candidates based in Lombok or those willing to relocate. Please note that accommodation, flight, and relocation allowances are NOT provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Floor Leadership & Management's Right Hand: Oversee daily floor operations, manage section allocations, organize shift breaks, and act as executive management's trusted lead on site.
- Front-of-House Supervision: Lead, motivate, and mentor FOH staff (supervisors, floor servers, greeters) to deliver warm, high-standard hospitality.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Maintain continuous, real-time alignment between the Kitchen, Bar, Floor, Reception, and Management teams during busy service pushes and events.
- Guest Experience & Complaint Resolution: Interact with guests on the floor, handle special requests, and resolve complex guest feedback/complaints with professional composure.
- Training & Standards Enforcement: Conduct staff onboarding, daily line-up briefings, and ongoing coaching to maintain strict service policies, cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards.
- Operational Reporting & Efficiency: Identify floor inefficiencies, implement practical solutions, prepare comprehensive end-of-shift reports, and communicate critical updates to leadership.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of operational leadership experience as an Operations Manager, Floor Manager, or Assistant Restaurant Manager in a high-volume Beach Club, Luxury Resort, or High-End Hospitality venue.
- Language Proficiency (Critical): Completely fluent in spoken and written English (Mandatory for direct collaboration with executive leadership and international guests).
- Leadership Style: Hands-on, floor-active leader who leads by example rather than managing strictly from an office desk.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong agility in managing fast-paced environments, crowd flows, large-scale events, and peak-hour service rushes.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, guest-handling diplomacy, and cross-departmental coordination skills.
- Location/Relocation: Based in Lombok OR fully willing to relocate to Lombok independently (without relocation allowance).
