Built by network professionals and industry experts, our innovative solutions are transforming how enterprises manage their networks. As a post-Series B company, we'reexpanding rapidly across Europe, the U.S., and beyond. \nRead this first\nThis is a software engineering role on the product platform. We don't operate a cloud service. IP Fabric ships as an on-premises virtual appliance that customers run in their own environments, often with restricted or no internet access. We build it ourselves from bare Debian to a finished image and ship it in versioned releases. You'll write Python and TypeScript every week, working close to Linux, packaging, and the release pipeline. If most of your background is operating AWS/GCP/Azure infrastructure, this role will feel quite different.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer - Platform to join our Platform team and help evolve the foundations of the IP Fabric product.\nOur Platform team is focused on making the product more stable, elegant to develop, performant, and secure.\nThe work sits at the intersection of software engineering, Linux, CI/CD, containers, quality, and developer experience.\nOver the coming months, some of our biggest challenges include decomposing parts of our monolithic application into cleaner modules or services, modernizing deployment from a Debian package-based model toward containers, improving build and testing pipelines, and creating a much better local-development experience.\nThis is not a traditional infrastructure-operations DevOps position.\nYou will work directly on the product platform and the engineering systems surrounding it.\nWe are hiring at either L2 or L3.\nBoth levels are hands-on. The difference is primarily the scope you can own independently.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and improve product-platform components and tooling using Python and TypeScript\nHelp evolve the application from a monolithic structure toward cleaner modules and/or services\nContribute to the design and implementation of our next-generation deployment model\nHelp move the product from Debian package-oriented deployment toward an appropriate container-based approach\nBuild, improve, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines\nImprove build and testing infrastructure\nMake local product development easier and more reliable\nWork with Kubernetes and containerized workloads\nTroubleshoot issues across application, runtime, container, Linux, and CI/CD boundaries\nImprove platform stability, performance, maintainability, and developer experience\nParticipate in technical discussions and code reviews\nCollaborate closely with engineers across the product organization\nApply good engineering practices around testing, observability, maintainability, and software quality\nContribute to software hardening and secure engineering practices where appropriate\nL2 / L3 Expectations\nL2\nAt L2, you should be able to independently deliver a defined technical task end to end.\nOnce the task and expected outcome are clear, you can determine the implementation, investigate unknowns, write and test the solution, troubleshoot issues, and drive the change through completion without close technical supervision.\nL3\nAt L3, you should additionally be comfortable working from a broader technical goal.\nOnce familiar with the platform, you can identify what needs to change, break broader goals into concrete work, propose solutions, explain tradeoffs, and lead implementation.\nYou are also expected to contribute meaningfully to technical decisions led by other engineers.\nWhat You'll Need\nStrong GNU/Linux fundamentals\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nHands-on experience with containers\nPractical Kubernetes knowledge, or very strong relevant fundamentals and the ability to become productive quickly\nExperience building, maintaining, or improving CI/CD pipelines\nSoftware-development experience in Python and/or TypeScript\nAbility to independently own technical implementation\nUnderstanding of modern software-engineering practices, including testing and version control\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nAbility to collaborate effectively in a remote engineering team\nEU citizenship or other eligibility to work in the EU\nBonus Points\nExperience with both Python and TypeScript\nUnderstanding of the Node.js runtime and ecosystem\nExperience modernizing application deployment\nExperience migrating workloads toward containers\nExperience decomposing monolithic applications\nExperience with developer tooling or Developer Experience / DevEx\nExperience improving local-development environments\nExperience with build systems and testing infrastructure\nSoftware-hardening or application/platform security experience\nExperience improving performance or reliability of product platforms\nHow We Work\nRemote-first team\nPrimarily CET-based\nEnglish as the working language\nPrague office available as an option for local employees\nHands-on engineering culture\nCollaborative technical decision-making\nEngineers are expected to understand the problems they are solving, not simply execute tickets\nBenefits & Perks \n25 days of holidays + 5 flexi-days.\nPluxee Flexi Card (up to 16 000 CZK per year - valid only for Czech employees)\nFull remote or hybrid role depending on your choice.\nAnniversary rewards.\nCollaboration with diverse, international teams. \nA pet-friendly office in the center of beautiful Prague.\nComplementary and yummy snacks, coffee, brew and refreshments in the office.\nRegular team and company events.\nJoin us to experience the unique culture of a founder-led startup, where from top to bottom everyone is hands-on and has a chance to make a tangible impact on influential enterprises worldwide. Being part of IP Fabric means being part of a flexible environment that prioritizes work-life balance and growth opportunities.","description_format":"text","description_chars":5974,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Company events","Growth opportunities"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Czech Republic","iso":"CZ","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Network Security","Observability & APM"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-15T20:43:07Z"}],"liveness":{"score":47,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.621,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":37,"expected_fill_days":50,"reasons":["conf:4","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-26T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/ip-fabric-devops-engineer-platform","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/ip-fabric-devops-engineer-platform.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-27T03:21:52Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3174,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1826,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-28T00:00:00Z"}}}
