Project Delivery\nLead the implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications and IT infrastructure solutions.\nManage technical project activities from deployment to operational handover.\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, implementation procedures, system designs, and operational runbooks.\nPerform system upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansion activities.\n2. Operations & Technical Support\nProvide technical support for critical production systems, including participation in standby or on-call support rotations.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving operating systems, applications, virtualisation platforms, network components, and telecommunication services.\nCoordinate with vendors and technology partners for issue escalation and resolution.\nMonitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure service-level commitments are met.\n3. Security & Compliance\nImplement security hardening and system protection measures in accordance with organisational policies and industry best practices.\nSupport vulnerability assessments, remediation activities, and security compliance initiatives.\nMaintain system documentation relating to security controls, updates, and operational procedures.\n4. Client & Vendor Management\nServe as a technical point of contact for customers during implementation and support activities.\nConduct technical discussions, workshops, and solution presentations.\nWork closely with technology vendors on product updates, escalations, and technical advisories.\n\n5. Technical Leadership (Senior Position)\nProvide coaching and technical guidance to junior engineers.\nPromote engineering standards, operational excellence, and documentation best practices.\nFacilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.\nRequirements\nEducation\nDiploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.\nMandatory Technical Skills\nSystems Administration\nHands-on experience with Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu.\nExperience in system installation, configuration, hardening, patching, and troubleshooting.\nVirtualisation\nExperience managing VMware or equivalent virtualisation platforms.\nFamiliarity with virtual machine provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nTelecommunications\nGood understanding of SIP, RTP, and VoIP technologies.\nExperience supporting Session Border Controllers (SBCs) or voice communication platforms.\nKnowledge of telecommunications network architecture and troubleshooting methodologies.\nApplications & Infrastructure\nExperience supporting enterprise applications and web/application servers.\nUnderstanding of HTTP, SSL/TLS, reverse proxy, and load balancing concepts.\nExperience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.\nSecurity\nUnderstanding of network and infrastructure security concepts.\nExperience implementing system hardening and security best practices.\nFamiliarity with firewalls, access control, encryption, and authentication technologies.\nPreferred Technical Skills\nCandidates are not expected to possess all of the following.\nCloud & DevOps\nKubernetes or container technologies.\nCI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.\nInfrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.\nExposure to DevSecOps practices and automation.\nTelecommunications Specialization\nExperience with Oracle (Acme Packet), Ribbon, AudioCodes, Metaswitch, or BroadWorks environments.\nKnowledge of mobile core network technologies, including 4G/5G architectures.\nSecurity Specialization\nWAF, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and security monitoring solutions.\nVulnerability management and security assessment experience.\n\nPreferred Certifications\nOne or more of the following certifications would be advantageous:\nCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)\nRed Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)\nVMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent\nBroadWorks Certified Engineer\nSession Border Controller (SBC) certifications\nITIL Foundation\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical and
