Involved with modifying and improving existing equipment. Train and pass along knowledge to other employees. Assist production with maintaining a high level of equipment up time. Work extended schedules during shutdown periods.\n\nPrinciple Accountabilities\nActively Participate in the Marysville Plant Safety Program\nRepair electrical failures on systems 460/60/3, 230/60/3, 220/60/1, and 120/60/1 AC and DC systems to 600 Volts.\nTroubleshoot control systems using PC's and PLC's.\nCommunicate shift activities with other maintenance personnel and maintenance supervisors.\nBreak down work orders to determine feasibility and what resources are needed to complete.\nPerform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment performance is at maximum.\nInteract with equipment suppliers.\nDevelop repair procedures and monitor as needed.\nParticipate in brainstorming sessions for equipment improvements.\nActively participate in department meetings.\nOccasionally travel to suppliers and trade shows to communicate our requirements.\nMake some decisions based only on limited amount of information available at a given time.\nPerform shut down activities.\nCommunicate equipment and process changes with Production.\nCommunicate equipment upgrades with Engineering.\nInvestigate problems with equipment, and, or process.\n\nEssential Skills and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent\nJourneyman's card in Electronics, Electrical or related trade and/or a minimum of six years of relevant experience in the trade\nMust be able to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics\nHave residential and/or industrial wiring skills, PLC and computer skills, electronic circuit board repair skills, power distribution skills along with general machine repair skills\nDemonstrated Proficiency in the following areas: \nExplosion proof systems ranging from three-phase 480-volt transformers to low-volt intrinsically safe instrumentation\nAnalog, digital and hard-wired circuit experience\nTest equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meter, meggers)\nProgrammable Logic Controllers\nAC and DC drive installation, programming and troubleshooting\nAbility to set up bench testing and troubleshoot components is a plus\nTroubleshooting relay
