They work closely with operating personnel to ensure nonconforming products are identified and corrective actions are taken. \n\nPrinciple Accountabilities\nCollects, approves, and files the Certificate of Analysis for incoming raw materials.\nMaintain daily safety regulations, procedures, and housekeeping. \nQualified to operate all testing equipment in the lab.\nPerforms and documents the testing of products from the mixing area.\nPerforms and documents the in-process testing of TB’s and jumbos from the coating area.\nPerforms and documents slit tape inspections in the converting area.\nKeeps operators and shift leaders informed of any non-conformances found.\nEnsures hold tags are filled out and attached to non-conforming materials or products.\nPerforms and documents aged, finished tape testing.\nProvides test results to the MRB of material returned by customers for credit or replacement.\nCalibrates test equipment at proper intervals. Sends equipment to external source for calibration if it cannot be calibrated internally.
