This role involves monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Senior Operator also provides guidance and training support to operators and collaborates with other departments to optimize production processes.\n\nPrinciple Accountabilities\nFollows all Safety Rules. Participates in monthly 100% Safety Participation Program.\nOperate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient and safe production.\nUses forklift & works with Material Handler to move product & supplies.\nWill at times be required to lift & palletize products. Weights could be as high as 60 lbs.\nPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent downtime.\nEnsures housekeeping is maintained for a clean & safe work environment.\nTroubleshoot and resolve machinery issues promptly to minimize production interruptions.\nEnsure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.\nMaintain accurate production records and logs.\nAssist in the setup and changeover of production lines for different products.\nImplement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.\nTrain and mentor operators on proper machine operation and safety practices.\nCollaborate with maintenance and quality control teams to address production issues.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.\nConduct regular inspections and quality checks on products and equipment.\nReport any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or production issues to the supervisor.\nIn this role, you will run production equipment and manage production lines to create high-quality products and deliver on time the full amount requested by your customer.\nOwn up to 4 production lines.\nSet up, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment (forklifts, mixers, fillers, conveyors, labelers, utility, fermentation tanks, boilers, autoclaves, microscopes, and safety equipment) for an entire production line without the requirement of supervision.\nManage manufacturing and packaging operations for your production line, including the delegation of tasks as appropriate and identifying and supporting safety concerns and pain points for Operators.\nTrain operators on tasks, identify the effectiveness of training, and be able to identify limitations and training progression of operators.\nDevelop and perform Preventive and Ad-Hoc Maintenance as needed.\nCreate, edit, and maintain documentation for properly running your production line.\nRelated tasks as requested by supervisor\n\nEssential Skills and Experience\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\n2+ years of manufacturing strongly preferred.\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite required.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills required.\nExceptional organizational and time management skills
