The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees.)\nThe Role\nOur site in Wolverhampton is looking for a Shift Technician to work on continentals, working two days and two nights on a permanent basis.\nThe Technician will work as part of a team and be responsible for assisting production trained staff in their duties, to ensure the machinery runs as efficiently as possible whilst making quality goods, fit for purpose. Learn new skills to eventually use to perform tasks under limited supervision to the same high standard.\nThe Technician will work on a four on, four off basis, working two day shifts 0645 - 1900 and two night shifts 1845 - 0700.\nAs a Shift Technician at IPL Wolverhampton you will:\nApply knowledge gained of setting, processing and running of blow moulding machines progressing through a challenging training plan.\n\nPerform day-to-day general remedial work including repairs of plant, equipment and machinery and replacement of consumable machine parts.\n\nAttend simple breakdowns and conduct remedial action for internal NCRs (non-conformances).\n\nAssist and learn calibration and repair techniques for machines and ancillary equipment.\n\nEscalate electrical and complex breakdowns to the engineering team.\n\nHelp maintain the production areas to a high standard.\n\nEnsure all necessary documentation is updated and produced in a timely manner.\n\nCross train for key production roles such as production support, material handling, warehouse and quality control.\n\nTo provide adhoc shift cover, sometimes at short notice, for key roles such as Shift Technicians (material handling, warehouse and QC, if trained).\n\nEnsure that the company production KPI and labour current benchmark is achieved.\n\nEscalate any quality concerns or machine issues to relevant staff, done via raising non-conformances or confidential reporting when necessary.\n\nWhat you will bring to the role:\nHealth and Safety Compliance.\n\nProactive and Results Focused.\n\nOpenness to Change.\n\nDrive for Results.\n\nIf you have the above experience and are looking for a role where you can make a real difference, apply today to find out more!
