The Data practice complements our capabilities in Experience Design and Product, as well as Software Engineering and Cloud, further enhancing our ability to deliver comprehensive business outcomes to our clients.\nThe Lead Data Engineering Consultant will embrace ambiguity whilst leading through active engagements with clients. You’ll find the work challenging, the people stimulating and the environment friendly, welcoming and accepting.\nWe’re a team of committed technologists here to do our best work, we’re quick to trust, easy to get along with and curators of elegant solutions.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nLead end-to-end delivery of scalable data platforms and data warehouse solutions\nDesign and implement robust data architectures using Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and/or Databricks\nProvide hands-on technical leadership across projects, setting standards and guiding delivery teams\nBuild, optimise, and maintain data pipelines, models, and storage layers to ensure reliable data outcomes\nCollaborate with data governance and reporting stakeholders to align solutions with broader data strategy\nSupport pre-sales activities by contributing to solution design, scoping, and client proposals\nWork closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions\nTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights\nPresent solutions and progress confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences\nPartner with project managers to ensure delivery is on track, within scope, and aligned to expectations\nCompetencies we’re looking for\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience\nRelevant Data Engineering certifications (e.g. Snowflake, Azure, Databricks) highly regarded\nStrong hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments\nProven experience designing and delivering modern cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing solutions\nAdvanced capability in data modelling, performance optimisation, security, and data sharing within Snowflake\nSolid experience building and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar\nDemonstrated consulting experience-translating business requirements into scalable, pragmatic data solutions\nStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders\nAnalytical and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering outcomes\nAdaptable and curious, with a genuine interest in evolving data engineering practices and technologies\nCollaborative team player who works effectively across cross-functional teams\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nExperience mentoring engineers and contributing to team capability uplift\nHigh attention to detail, with a strong focus on data quality, integrity, and reliability\nAt Ippon, we see things differently both in terms of how we work with our clients and how we engage with our people.
