Headquartered in California, Weld-On has state-of-the-art operations throughout the United States, as well as China, and a worldwide network of sales representatives and distributors.\nAbout the Role:\nReporting to Injection Molding Supervisor, you will operate and monitor extrusion machinery, ensuring efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in plastics manufacturing, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSet up, operate, and adjust plastics extrusion machinery to produce consistent, high-quality extruded products.\nMonitor machine operations using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems, making real-time adjustments as needed.\nConduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify product dimensions and specifications.\nPerform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment, including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools.\nHandle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques to ensure smooth workflow.\nAssist with fabrication, assembly, and secondary operations like plastics blow molding or plastics injection molding when required.\nMaintain detailed production logs, shift reports, and quality documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with manufacturing standards.\nExperience:\nProven experience operating plastics extrusion machinery in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes such as CNC lathe work and fabrication techniques.\nHands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), press brake machines, CNC equipment, and hand tools.\nKnowledge of plastics blow molding, injection molding, and related manufacturing processes is highly desirable.\nWarehouse experience combined with materials handling skills using forklifts is a plus.\nUnderstanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.\nAbility to perform basic math calculations accurately for quality inspection and measurements.\nPhysical Requirements\nMust have the ability to sit and stand for long periods.\nMust be able to lift and move items or boxes up to 30 pounds.\nHourly Range: $20.00 -
