For more information visit www.ipsadhesives.com.\nPosition Summary:\nBased in Durham, NC, the Production Supervisor is a key member of the operations leadership team supporting our IPS Adhesives Operating Company. In this role the supervisor will provide direction, coaching, and technical expertise to the associates. This includes building and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement. They will also actively manage their assigned team to safely deliver a quality product, on time, to meet customer demand. This position will be expected to work 6 am - 2:30 pm EST Monday through Friday. Additional hours including Saturdays will be required at times based on business needs. This is an exempt/salaried position.\nExpected Results and Accountabilities:\nEnsures a safe and clean work environment by educating and guiding personnel on using all equipment, resources, and 5S tools while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.\nConducts daily standup meetings to communicate and reinforce safety protocols, quality issues, delivery goals, inventory constraints, and personnel requirements.\nReviews job expectations; plan, monitor, and evaluate job results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems and policy procedures.\nProvides support in being a hands-on contributor supervisor when needed\nUtilizes MRP data to plan, monitor, and track all inventory and production activity.\nMaintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to foster personal growth opportunities.\nCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results through the Lean Daily Management Process.\nMaintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.\nCreates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing continuous improvement change.\nResolves personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending corrective actions.\nManage and approve employee timecards in Paycom.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nKey Experience:\nSupervision and Coaching\nProcess Improvement\nDaily and Visual Management\nKaizen leadership/participation\nTechnical problem solving\nProject Management\nTransportation of Dangerous Goods\nShipping Document preparation\nRequired Experience:\n2+ Years of manufacturing leadership experience \nHigh School Degree or GED equivalent \nIntermediate-Advanced skills in Excel with experience creating pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas. \nExperience using MRP systems (JD Edwards preferred)\nProven metric-driven experience with inventory management \nExperience developing metric-driven execution strategies to reach short/long-term goals. \nDemonstrated success in guiding a team of employees to achieve the objectives for their area of responsibility.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret regulatory language, industry-specific terms, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. \nAbility to work a flexible schedule as production demand requires\nAble to adjust the process variables to maintain quality production, adjust to changes in workflow, and prioritize as needed to meet deadlines\nHighly organized and excellent multi-tasker\nStrong leadership & problem-solving skills\nPreferred Experience:\nIntermediate written/spoken Spanish is preferred \nExperience using Warehouse Management Systems to collaborate with warehouse, inventory and shipping teams\nForklift experience preferred\nStrong technical troubleshooting skills and technical background/familiarity\nPrevious experience and readiness to be a hands-on contributor supervisor\n Our Offer\nCompetitive Compensation Package\nInsurance Benefits -
