Monitor database performance and proactively identify tuning opportunities, indexing strategies, and optimization improvements. Skills:5-7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.\n5-7 years of experience with Azure SQL, including performance tuning, monitoring, and cloud-based database management.\nStrong understanding of database architecture, indexing, query execution plans, and performance troubleshooting.\nExperience with backup/restore strategies, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.\nProficiency with T?SQL, scripting, and automation for database operations.\nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex database issues in production environments.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.\nPreferred / Nice-to-Have:\n1-3 years experience with Cosmos DB (1-2 years still considered valuable).\n1-3 years experience with Redis as a caching platform with optional persistence (1-2 years still considered valuable).\nFamiliarity with cloud-native database patterns, distributed systems, and modern data architectures.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale applications and high-volume transactional systems.\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
