Advance your education and career with our tuition assistance program\nSummary\nCoordinates all activities required to effectively lay out work, set-up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed assembly demands and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilizes resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nRead and interpret blueprints.\nOperate power tools and equipment such as band saw, table saw, manual hand brake, drill, grinder, etc.\nHandle and work with different types of material: felt insulation, ceramic, graphite, carbon fiber, molybdenum, stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.\nDocument work process, issues, and usage of material or excess material/parts\nCommunicate with team leader and supervisor in all forms of communication\nOrganize work area and keep it clean and safe daily.\nWork with minimal supervision to accurately accomplish any given task.\nOther duties as assigned/needed.\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAbility to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints.\nEffectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume. Knowledge of basic concepts of geometry.\nAbility to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience/training; OR a minimum of 6 years of related experience in lieu of a diploma/GED\nExperience working with a forklift preferred\nFork lift and overhead crane training and certification preferred\n Physical/Visual/Mental/ Environmental Factors\nThe demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
