Advance your education and career with our tuition assistance program\nSummary\nThe QA Tech I will be charged with operating Ipsen’s warranty claim system from initial submission to final resolution. The QA Tech I will also oversee the warranty Return Material Authorization (RMA) process. Additional responsibilities include support roles within the QDW Department such as auditing and process development.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nReview customer claims including failure mode, operating conditions, and maintenance history.\nVerify eligibility including product coverage, warranty period, and terms & conditions of the sale.\nEvaluate claim details for completeness and accuracy.\nParticipate in technical reviews with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Service Departments.\nCoordinate with QA Engineer to see if claims should be approved or denied.\nGenerates warranty replacement orders and organize with internal departments to ensure quickest possible delivery to customer site.\nGenerates appropriate monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation on warranty expenses.\nReviews warranty Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests and issues RMA to requestor as required.\nClose RMA request upon receipt of returned goods.\nConduct assigned internal audits to evaluate conformance with established procedures, applicable standards, and QMS requirements.\nCollaborate with production, engineering, and customer service teams to improve process and quality performance.\nSupport the development, revision, and maintenance of standard operating procedures, work instructions and quality documentation in accordance with applicable ISO standards.\nSupport root cause investigations and corrective actions related to warranty claims, audit findings, and other quality issues as assigned.\nProvides administrative support to the Quality Assurance Engineer as required.\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nKnowledge of ERP and CRM tools such as Salesforce or Syteline.\nAdvanced computer skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.\nAbility to learn complex OEM components to include electrical and mechanical systems.\nAbility to use industry-specific software to identify correct components for warranty orders.\nPossess a strong attention to detail and sense of urgency with an ability to prepare warranty orders in a timely and accurate manner.\nBasic understanding of quality management systems, applicable quality standards, and internal auditing principles.\nAbility to analyze data and identify process improvement opportunities.\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or other advanced training or certification program strongly preferred. \nMinimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing quality, warranty/product quality, or a related technical quality function required.\nMinimum 1 year experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment required.\nExperience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) strongly preferred\nExperience working with Salesforce and/or Syteline ERP systems preferred.\nPhysical/Visual/Mental/ Environmental Factors\nThe demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
