SRC, Inc. is seeking a talented Intermediate Software Developer to join our Applications Engineering team. In this full-stack development role, you’ll support the complete software development lifecycle-analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance-of internal business applications. You’ll work in critical domains such as Configuration Management/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Cost & Pricing systems, building scalable, secure applications that streamline operations and support enterprise growth. This role combines hands-on development with regular collaboration with internal business partners to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business-critical applications using C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL, and other languages
- Build and enhance web applications and services using ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, and other technologies
- Analyze system requirements and collaborate with internal users to define functional and technical specifications
- Translate business requirements into clear, scalable technical designs
- Partner with senior developers to grow expertise in platform architecture, software design patterns, and domain knowledge
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues requiring code fixes or configuration updates
- Collaborate across IT and business teams on application integration, data management, and technical debt reduction
- Support PLM/Configuration Management and Cost & Pricing systems, with opportunities to contribute to additional business domains
- Recommend modern technologies and best practices to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience
- Work with software vendors to resolve technical issues and optimize system capabilities
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience developing software solutions
- Proficiency with Visual Studio or comparable IDEs
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL
- Experience developing full-stack web applications and web services using ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core/MVC and Entity Framework
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Ways to Stand Out
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps
- Experience with React, Node.js, and front-end libraries such as jQuery or Bootstrap
- Familiarity with build tools such as NPM, Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit or Jest
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, CI/CD, and version control workflows

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $93,000 to $110,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
