The role leads complex analysis, establishes standards for analytical quality and helps convert ambiguous business questions into clear evidence, recommendations and measurable action.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalytical Leadership\nLead complex data analysis and analytical workstreams across client engagements.\nTranslate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems.\nIdentify appropriate datasets, analytical approaches and measures.\nInterrogate multiple data sources and combine them into coherent analytical views.\nIdentify patterns, anomalies, trends and root causes.\nTurn findings into defensible business conclusions and recommendations.\nEnsure analysis drives insight and action rather than only producing reports.\nData Requirements & Solution Analysis\nEngage business and technology stakeholders to understand data and information requirements.\nIdentify and document data sources, definitions, transformations and business rules.\nProduce source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries and analytical specifications where required.\nSupport conceptual and logical data modelling.\nConduct data profiling, reconciliation and quality analysis.\nDefine test scenarios and support validation of data solutions.\nAssess downstream impacts of changes to data, systems and business rules.\nInsight & Decision Support\nAnalyse performance and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.\nConduct exploratory and diagnostic analysis.\nDevelop hypotheses that can be tested with data.\nBuild evidence-based business cases and quantify the size of identified opportunities.\nTranslate technical findings into clear narratives for business stakeholders.\nPresent recommendations to senior stakeholders with a clear call to action.\nTrack whether analytical recommendations produce their intended outcomes.\nData Quality & Governance\nIdentify, investigate and communicate data-quality issues.\nSupport the definition of meaningful data-quality measures and controls.\nPromote consistent data definitions and appropriate documentation.\nWork with Data Governance, Data Engineering and business teams on remediation.\nEnsure analysis is conducted responsibly when working with sensitive or confidential data.\nDelivery & Team Leadership\nLead Data Analysts within projects or analytical workstreams.\nReview analytical outputs and maintain quality standards.\nMentor analysts in problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, analysis and documentation.\nAllocate and coordinate analytical work where required.\nRemain hands-on while providing technical and analytical direction.\nCreate reusable approaches, templates and analytical practices.\nContribute to the development of the broader Data Analysis capability.\nClient & Stakeholder Leadership\nBuild trusted relationships with client stakeholders.\nFacilitate analytical discovery and requirements sessions.\nChallenge assumptions constructively using evidence.\nPresent complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\nNavigate ambiguity and take ownership of difficult analytical problems.\nWork across Data Engineering, Data Science, Architecture, AI and business teams.\nRequirements:\nEducation\nRelevant Bachelor's degree in Data, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or a related analytical discipline.\nExperience\n7+ years' relevant data or analytics experience, including demonstrated senior or lead-level responsibilities.\nStrong experience working directly with business and technical stakeholders.\nExperience leading analysts or complex analytical workstreams.\nSkills\nAdvanced SQL, data analysis, data profiling and interrogation across multiple sources.\nData modelling concepts, requirements analysis, source-to-target mapping and data-quality assessment.\nRoot-cause analysis, analytical problem-solving, data visualisation and insight communication.\nExposure to a combination of the following or equivalent tools:SQL, Python, R and Excel.\nPower BI and Tableau.\nDatabricks, Snowflake, Azure data platforms and Microsoft Fabric.\n\nSolid data-delivery experience and adaptable analytical capability are more important than depth in every listed platform.\nAdvantageous\nConsulting or multi-client
