We turn deep research into reliable, full-stack systems that drive discoveries in fields like medicine, energy, and technology, reshaping how the world computes.\nJoin the team that gives quantum a heartbeat.\nThe work \nAs a Business Development Manager in Germany, you’ll grow our existing customer relationships and win new ones across HPC centers, universities, research centers, government and enterprise. You’ll lead complex public tenders, shape offers that fit what customers really need, and help make IQM a recognized part of the national quantum strategy. You’ll work closely with our other Business Development Managers and with our product, marketing and technical teams, with high ownership of your accounts. In your first months, you’ll get to know your customers and partners, build a clear plan for your accounts, and have your first tenders and new opportunities moving. \nWhat you’ll actually do \nBuild and manage a strong pipeline for your accounts in Germany, finding and qualifying new opportunities in research, academia, government and industries such as finance, defense, aerospace, pharma, chemistry and energy \n\nDevelop relationships with existing customers and find growth opportunities together with them \n\nLead public tenders from first review to submission, shaping the offer together with internal teams \n\nHelp customers navigate public funding programs to make quantum projects happen \n\nMeet and engage with customers regularly \n\nRepresent IQM at conferences, industry events and exhibitions \n\nBring customer feedback and market insights back to our product and marketing teams to shape what we build next \n\nWhat we’re looking for \nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a similar field, or equivalent experience \n\nExtensive experience in sales and account management across hardware, software, telecommunications, storage or application fields \n\nBackground in high-performance computing (HPC) or data center industries \n\nProven track record of growing business in a defined sales territory and closing complex deals in the tech industry \n\nHands-on experience with public tenders and public funding, and with running deals that involve many stakeholders \n\nConfidence to build trust with both senior decision makers and technical experts \n\nFluent German and English \n\nWillingness to travel around 40% of the time, mainly in Germany, with possible overseas trips from time to time \n\nSeen as an advantage\nKnowledge of or experience in the quantum computing ecosystem\n\nData center related certification, such as CDCS or ITIL\n\nWhy IQM? \nFull-stack quantum computing: From quantum hardware to software layers and beyond, \n\nwe build across the full-stack.\n\nHigh-performance playground: We aim high, and we know sustainable performance only works when life outside work does too-hybrid setups, flexible hours.\n\nNever the smartest: You won’t always be the smartest person in the room.
