IQVIA is an American company formed in 2016 by the merger of the contract research organisation Quintiles, founded in 1982, with the pharmaceutical data business IMS Health. It runs clinical trials on behalf of drug and device makers and simultaneously operates one of the largest healthcare data estates in the world, covering prescriptions, claims and electronic medical records, which it sells back to the same industry for commercial planning and real-world evidence studies. Headquartered in Durham, North Carolina and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it employs close to ninety thousand people and combines the trial and data businesses in what it calls connected intelligence.

We are partnering with a fast-growing global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to expanding patient access to high-quality, affordable biologic medicines through biosimilars. Since its launch in 2012, the company has built one of the industry's fastest-growing biosimilar portfolios and established itself as a leader in this highly dynamic market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing organisation, helping to increase access to innovative therapies while building strong partnerships across the French hospital sector.

Territory

Primary focus:

  • Languedoc-Roussillon
  • Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA)
  • Corsica

Additional responsibility:

  • French Overseas Territories (DROM), including Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Mayotte and Réunion

Please note that the overseas territories represent a small proportion of the role, with the primary focus being mainland South-East France.

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Long-Term Sick Leave Cover)

The Role

As a Délégué(e) Hospitalier(ère), you will play a key role in driving the growth and adoption of a market-leading biosimilar portfolio across your territory. Working within nephrology and rheumatology, you will help position our client as a trusted partner to hospitals and healthcare professionals while supporting improved patient access to biologic therapies.

Operating autonomously within your region, you will develop and strengthen relationships with key hospital stakeholders, including hospital pharmacists, pharmacy managers, procurement teams and relevant clinicians. Your ability to engage decision-makers, manage strategic accounts and support successful hospital tenders and negotiations will be critical to your success.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues, you will ensure stakeholders have access to the information and support required to facilitate product adoption. You will also provide valuable market intelligence, helping to shape commercial strategy and identify opportunities for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve sales and market share objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital pharmacists, pharmacy managers, procurement stakeholders and clinical decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the uptake of the biosimilar portfolio within target accounts.
  • Lead strategic account management activities and support hospital tender processes and negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with medical, market access and commercial colleagues to maximise account performance.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, including competitor activity, treatment pathways, tender developments and prescribing trends.
  • Position the company as a valued and trusted partner within the hospital environment.
  • Deliver against sales targets while contributing to the continued growth of the business in France.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven pharmaceutical sales experience within the hospital environment is essential.
  • Experience working with hospital pharmacists and procurement stakeholders.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success influencing hospital-level purchasing and prescribing decisions.
  • Experience in biosimilars, biologics, nephrology or rheumatology would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Public Health or similar) or in Business Administration, Health Economics or a related discipline.
  • French language fluency is essential.
  • English language skills would be beneficial but are not required.
  • Full, valid driving licence.
